What are you playing this weekend, SW?

I'm still enjoying my backlog until Metaphor Refantazio and Astro Bot come out! Currently playing Dragon's Dogma 2. It has surpassed my expectations. It's a genuinely fun and interesting RPG which I wasn't expecting. I was expecting more of a hack n slash action game lol. How about you, SW? What are you playing this weekend?

Elden Ring, I just keep opening up more areas to explore and more things to do.

Texas Chainsaw will be leaving Game Pass in a few days and I still need to play that, get a feel if I want to buy it at discount before it goes.

In meantime, more Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess, that's been pretty fun.

Probably more Warhammer 40K: Darktide just for filler.

Trying to get a friend to play Gears Of War 5's Hivebusters DLC expansion with me so maybe some of that.

Perhaps something Aliens related since Aliens Romulus hits theaters next week, maybe Fireteam Elite or Isolation.

Will probably finish my third play-through of Horizon Forbidden West this weekend. Already about a third of the way through the DLC.

I feel... ...melancholic. Horizon games just make me happy in ways few games can. And now it has to end. I suppose I could start a fourth play-through, but I need at least a long break before I even think about that.

After that... ...I dunno. I have a few options in mind; I decided to play HFW literally based on a coin flip, so I suppose I could play the game I would have played had it landed heads: Cyberpunk 2077. On the other hand, I really, really love archery, and I still crave more of it, so I might look for more of it in another game. Start an archer character in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning? Finally complete Shadow of the Tomb Raider? Do I finally have enough time to properly invest in Monster Hunter: World? Hmm.

Started it last night and I enjoy the game having not played it since the PSP days. Should be fun to finish it over the weekend.

Thinking about replaying Alien: Isolation this weekend only because the new Alien movie is coming out next week and the latest trailer is strongly given me Isolation vibes, so that's what I'll be playing.

I'm in my 3rd play Ghost of Tsushima as you can tell, I really love that game, very immersion on the environments and Feudal Japan culture it truly shines on PC.

Same here. If I do pick up Horizon Lego, I'll get it for Switch. Don't see what I'll be missing out on PC version.

Doom I & II Enhanced just dropped on Game Pass, surprise Gamescom drop, nice. Dabbled in a bit of that today. I've been playing the 7th gen XBLA versions because I didn't much like the 8th gen re-releases. Something just felt off. This feels much better.

I’ve slowed down on gaming the last couple months, just spending more time painting my Warhammer armies while I wait for Warhammer Space Marine 2 to come out in September. I think that’s the first game I’ll be excited for and satisfied with this year to be honest.

Finished Spiderman MM. It was what i expected: More Spiderman. Shocking revelations right there :P. Good game though. Had fun.

So I have started into Hi-Fi Rush. However I have poor rhythm :S. I thought it was good but...nah. Cool game though.

The first big patch post 7.0 for X4 is also out so may finally dip my toe in that one.

I tried Kingdom Come: Deliverance but bounced right off it. I like the idea but the actual implementation.....hmmm. It may be a bit too much of a "peasant sim". The survival stuff....not a fan personally. Apparently there are also quests with time limits which, for me, is a big no. Do not like. I may give it another go in a while though: Start again. I suspect i skipped out of the tutorial area a bit too quickly so i'm not actually aware of a lot of systems in the game.

be away until Saturday evening but i'll continue on with Jedi Survivor when I get back. think I'm nearing the end...

after that I am going to start Baldurs Gate 3. so many games from last year to get through, not to mention all the Sony "exclusives" that have come/are coming to PC this year. not sure when (or if) i'll get to them.

I guess i'm turning into one of those people that doesn't have enough time to play everything they want to. bummer.

Finished Forgotten City, which I thought was very cool.

Now I have restarted CP2077, ultimate edition. Figured I might as well replay it and then try out the DLC 😁!

Diablo 4's new season is out, leveling a druid right now. Pretty fun. Bear form. RAWR!

Steam also had an Arkane sale so I picked up Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and Arx Fatalis, will download some mods for those and give them a spin this weekend. I might put Arx Fatalis in the back catalog since it might take some time to get through, but I can probably get through Dark Messiah this weekend.

And then someone (one of the mods, can't remember) said that No Man's Sky got a recent update so I might check that out for my sandbox fix.

*Oh and I finished COD 3 on Game Pass, so my new Game Pass game (definitely on the backburner) is Creatures of Ava which, after 30-40 minutes, I am enjoying a lot!

I mean, it's not a terrible place to be haha. You're literally never without a game to play.

Only downside is that it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming if you're short on time.

I understand people that get nostalgic but hot damn we have so many new (or new'ish) games out, and many of them are quite good to excellent, I really don't long for the days of yesteryear.

Congratulations, that is an amazing game! One of the best games I have played in recent years. Perhaps due to my A Link to the past nostalgia. But it also has many original ideas. I won't spoil anything 😁!
