What are your expectations of GTA5? Are you expecting more than what GTA4 had?

After GTA4, L.A Noire and Red Dead Redemption I honestly think Rockstar is getting old. It really feels like they're doing the samething Activision is with CoD. Copy and paste where even it's worse in every game there's even less things to do as they go on. So from Rockstars last few games what do you guys expect from them?

After playing saints row the third, my expectations for GTA5 have gone soo low now that I've know what can be done with a game like GTA. I don't expect them to do any better than GTA4, nor the missions nor story.. probably the same type of story again.

I hope they add more animals.

Better controls.

Also add some fun cheat codes. Half the fun in San Andreas was the awesome cheat codes.

I think Rockstars games have lost alot of their charm, and they're too serious nowadays.

I hope it gets back to more SA style with more flying, jet-packs and multitudes of racing. Heil68

GTA 4 was a boring game.

Well GTAIV was my favroutie, so I hope they keep the serious tone. San Andreas was my least favourite, they tried to add in to many things and it just became ridiculous.

So I guess, I would like to see more of the same, maybe some bigger name actors and music, but GTA IV was great and I'll gladly buy GTA V when the time comes. In Rockstar we trust.

I thought GTA IV was great but some things I would add/change:

- Better variety of missions

- More weapons

- More side missions (buying property around the city would be a plus)

- More heterogeneous environment (City, coast, forest, etc.)

I hope it is better than Grand Theft Auto 4. They really need to make the driving physics, police, weapons, and cover system better. The weapons are not fun to use and sound like be shooters, the cover system was half-assed more than it was in Kane and Lynch, the Police were inconsistant, and driving the cars was not fun.

I thought GTA IV was great but some things I would add/change:

I think this is the biggest problem with them, they're trying to hard to keep their games realistic while we already live in real life we know what reality is. GTA4 was a shooting game to me, so it's red dead redemption and so it's L.A noire so i'm kinda skeptical as to what might happen with GTA5.. I hope they have better missions like they did on GTA5.

I'm expecting the exact same stuff I was expecting from GTA IV before it launched. Hopefully I won't be dissapointed.

EDIT: As in GTA: SA just better,... much better. Are my expectations too high? Perhaps.

Best story.

Best characters.

Best variation.

Alot of things to do in the city.

To the realistic side and a bit fro the unrealistic side.

Great city.

Great cars.

Awesome weapons.

Lengty campaign (longer then GTA4).

Best online gameplay. (saints row can't win against free roam on gta4.)

A typical mission in Grand Thef Auto 4:

• Drive to a person, who finds reason for you to do a job.
• Drive to some location.
• Shoot a few bad guys
• Chase after bad guy
• Chase after bad guy in some vehicle
• Either follow or kill bad guy in the vehicle
• More shooting
• Escape cops.

I want them to live up to their claims.

If that happens, I will love it just like every other GTA game. I want more stuff crammed into that game than they can possibly fit. Jetpacks - skiing - sporting events - RC bombs.

Considering GTA4 was easilly my most disappointing game of gen and void of anything I would deem fun, I'd say yeah, for me I expect a whole hell of a lot more. how about we start with controls that work and a missions that are not cut and paste from GTA3? oh and scrap the god awfull mini games... pretty much gut the whole experience.

My expectations are high, GTA IV was a great game, but left me with a bit of an empty feeling. Episodes from Liberty City added quite a bit and were tons of fun, however.

I expect a great balance between GTA IV and San Andreas. A ton of things to do, a ton of somewhat over-the-top things yet not stupid things, Like we see in Saint's Row (Not saying its bad, just some things are dumb), A ton of options for traveling, weapons. Major gameplay improvements, RDR improved shooting quite a bit from IV, but I'm hoping for exceptionally better shooting/cover mechanics.

I'm hopeful for a good balance of driving physics (like GTA IV but a little tighter grip on the road), properties and/or businesses (something to do with the money), car modifications, San Fierro and Las Venturas (at least as episodes or something), and I'm hoping it completely does something new and fresh with the missions system or story (The idea of multiple protagonists interests me). Also I absolutely expect a better online setup, RDR was pretty good, GTA IV's online was terrible though. (Just sitting in lobbies and waiting for the match to start while people quit out) GTA IV's online isn't bad with a group of friends and can be a ton of fun.

Rockstar is handicapped though because the Xbox 360 is holding them back from their true, fullest potential, just like 360 held GTA4 back.

Yeah, I want a Manhunt 3 also. One that isn't censored like Manhunt 2 was, because some 40 year old liberal woman complained about it when she isn't even interested in playing the game. People like that need to mind their own business.

Anyway, GTAIV was great, I hope they don't go to San Andreas for influence (I wasn't a fan of it). All GTA games are great so I don't have many worries.

I think GTA4 had more than enough usage to add in more content and a better variation of missions. What i mean is that... the City was big enough for no reason.. they could have chopped off some of it to add in other things. As great as a city looks in these games it's not really what the people that play the game pay attention to. Making it bigger it's not really going to make it better although change of scenery does help, but it backfires when the scenery its just different buildings.

I don't like the idea of revisiting the over-the-top San Andreas style, they should offer the same ammount and variety of contenrt as San Andreas though. The gritty, semi-realistic tone has become the GTA style, we have Saints Row to aptly fill the "cooky, over the top fun" category.

My personal expectation for GTA 5, as unlikely as it may be, SIMULTANEOUS RELEASE ON PC AND CONSOLES!

You're right. People do hate popular games. It's always been that way. I think it has something to do with the fact that lots of people, myself included, have invested interests in less popular, more niche franchises. I don't hate on the popular games, though. I love Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto.

I think that lots of people just get frustrated that the games they really like don't get the attention it deserves, and they see games like Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto get so much attention, and they just don't understand it, because they don't like CoD or GTA as much as their less popular franchises. Then they feel the need to lash out at CoD and GTA because they feel like it doesn't deserve the success.
