I think my all time favorite would be when the original Xbox was introduced by The Rock and Bill Gates.

A few other memories I can think of was when I first saw Halo at a friends house. And the time I was learning about how Xbox charges for a service called “Live”. It seemed like Xbox was up to something those days. And of course, the big ass Duke controller and how they eventually went to the smaller, Japanese version lol. How about you, SW? What are your favorite Xbox memories?

Yet you're 22 years long and about 70 thousand posts deep of free defense and marketing for that "console gaming" company.

That makes you more weird than anyone else here.

A whole bunch of fond memories for many games. A few off the top of my head are:

- Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3

- Gears of War 1, 2, 3

- Forza Motorsport and being able to rip music from my cd’s to play those songs while racing in the games. Miss that so much.

- Forza Horizon games

- getting Xbox Live. Such a cool service.

- first playing Oblivion and later on Skyrim

- Mass Effect trilogy

- Fallout 3 and New Vegas

- Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate, 3, and 4

- Call of Duty Modern Warfare and MW2

- Dead Rising

- Ninja Gaiden Black, NG2

- Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

- Devil May Cry 4, 5

Really just have so many great memories playing so many great games on Xbox consoles over the many years.

If its about the original xbox, for me it would be playing Halo at my friends house, and also doing Halo Party bringing 2 xbox consoles and linking them up to play 4v4,
Other would be playing
Star Wars Knight Of the Old Republic 1 and 2
Fable
Sudeki
Time Splitter

In Halo 3's online multiplayer, I got a double kill with one shot of a Spartan Laser. It was so glorious! I'll remember it for the rest of my life.

I was never a big Xbox fan back in the day, I owned the OG and 3 RROD 360's before I moved on from the platform. but When I was a kid, I mowed grass and painted all summer for money to buy an OG Xbox.

I wanted to play Fable so bad because the game magazines talked about it constantly, and I wasn't about to beg my parents for anything at the time, I was going to earn it myself. I busted ass, got the console, Fable, and the game guide all at once.

I was so excited when I fired it up to play... aaaanndd beat the game in a day. I was so disappointed. All that hype was for a 8 hour game with super basic systems and a terrible story. I was crushed. Working all summer for a single underwhelming game that was beaten so quickly.

Crestfallen and disgusted, I took the game and the game guide to the game store and traded it in, you know because that's what jobless kids tend to do.I found this cool looking game that looked to combine my love of RPGs and Kung Fu movies together. I grabbed a copy of Jade Empire, popped it in, and low and behold, a game worth working all summer to play. The game was like nothing I've ever played before. It was fresh, it was original, it was a commercial failure, and it made my summer work worth it.

Halo CE LANs every Sunday for years. 4 boxes, 4 tvs, 15 friends, a case of mountain dew and a pile of pizzas. Probably the most fun I've ever had with gaming.

Morrowind. Thats my best memory. Funny how ES III was only on Xbox for console and then we thought for a while VI was going to be an Xbox exclusive as well which bummed me out, but I have an XSX and a couple years of Ultimate, so whatever. Now I'll probably be playing it on my PS5. A game like that I'd rather buy the top deluxe version either way, so I wasn't getting on Gamepass from the start. It's kind of funny I boldly suggested that Starfield and ESVI were coming to PS5... which I ate my crow and admitted I was wrong, and now I look back and realize I probably wasn't.. I'm already half right.. lol

The one where I finally realized the Xbox has no good games and that I was missing so many good games from Sony and ditched the Xbox one. Best memory of the console I have is ditching it.

Playing in 4k for the first time. It was Far Cry 5 on my newly purchased Xbox One X, and it looked amazing.

I also have tons of good memories with my 360.

Online custom Halo 2 matches with the boys, LAN setups for Chaos Theory Spies vs Mercs. Playing stupid amounts of NGB.

There was a lot I liked about the OG Xbox, but those three games made the console worth it.

lol I also beat Fable in a single sitting.

I actually liked it but, it ended where most traditional RPGs begin to start. It was like a full priced demo.

And yeah Jade Empire was good times but I found Sudeki to be a better game.

I bought and played virtually every original xbox exclusive MS produced like NFL Fever...then they just stopped.

Xbox 360 became a Halo/Forza/Gears machine and gone were all the amazing and creative original IPs I enjoyed on OG Xbox, and so was I.

This is a great idea for a thread. My favorite memory was standing in line for a midnight release of Halo. It was so much fun, though I was cold as ****!

For me, the memories I'll always treasure is Halo CE being my first Xbox game purchased was the best moments of my gaming life! Halo CE introduce me to the world of possibilities that comes with Xbox, owning an Xbox felt like I had a powerhouse gaming PC at that time. Halo 2 is what got me into gaming online, it really blew me away. Also, a shoutout to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on Xbox really put the Star Wars fans in a better position as that game really dove into the old world of Jedi/Sith wars. Xbox really had so much incredible games, I can list them all but I'll just keep it short saying Jade Empire, Fable, Forza, Brute Force, Avent Rising, and Blinx the Time Sweeper are my best memories.

Xbox 360, now that's the perfect Xbox console MS put out, we were getting mega hit games, I don't know where to start. Gears of War, now that game was awesome, followed by Gears of War 2 & 3. Halo 3 was my most played game and followed by ODST & Reach. Crackdown was dope, it makes Suicide Squad game look bad in comparison lol. Overall, Xbox & Xbox 360 were the best memories for me.

Xbox One just flat-out sucks, no good memories coming from me! No offence to Xbox fans but Xbox One was the most redundant system of all time. The only game I like from it is Rare Replay.

You can't even answered this thread without trying to start a fight is laughable coming from you🤣

Getting together for Halo 1+2 LAN sessions, hooking up a VGA adapter and enjoying crisp Outrun 2, disbelief when seeing the Duke, more disbelief when seeing the Steel Battalion controller, that E3 with the glowing dresses and circus, the good days of the 360 gen where people were enthusiastic, first time hooking up the 360 with an HDTV

@davillain said:

It's the reason I didn't even bother getting a Series until I knew it was going to be good.. sadly the outlook isn't great. But at least Xbox One was another platform to get all achievements on From games on. My Kinect 2.0 is still in the box, wish it was BC with Kinect 1.0 games because I'm getting some occasional freezes when trying to play DoubleFine Happy Action Theater on my 360.

@above_average: Same, I ended up getting the Elite because I was tired of it happening and then got a 360 S as a backup because people were still reporting problems with the Elite. It sucks that I couldn't use my 360 Elite HDD on the 360 S but at least by that time they removed the stupid limit on USB drive size.

The original Xbox was a fond memory. I had a few games on there. Ironically, I didn't really care for Forza or Halo. The games I liked were Jet Set Radio Future, Dynasty Warriors 3, and Fable. The amazing thing about Fable was that it was actually progressive. The main character was bisexual, so you could be with a woman or a man. I just chose whatever option, based on my mood. Plus, it was a fun RPG. It created fun memories, especially the tournament game when these monsters were trying to kill you, and we cheesed it by hiding behind a slicing wheel. Some of the monsters actually tried to go slow, as if moving slow would enable them to fit. Some tried to go fast, as if that would enable them to fit. LMFAO! Dynasty Warriors was technically on the PS2, but we got it on the Xbox. I'm glad, because my older brother basically hogged the PS2. I also liked skating around town on Jet Set Radio. I didn't even care about the plot, I just liked grinding on rails around town and drawing graffiti. Plus, I could play as a girl. I didn't mind playing as a guy, as seen with Fable, though being able to play with a girl just made me enjoy a game that much more.

As for personal memories, they're mostly about playing Halo CE with family and friends.
