What are your impressions of Far Cry Primal?

Far Cry 4 has the option to turn off some or everything in the HUD although some missions in the SP campaign may require them. At least, that's the case on the PC version. I'm not sure about the console version. Now that I think about it, I now appreciate the very clean interface of Far Cry 2 as well.

It would look weird (to me) if Primal will have a HUD.

i don't find myself getting excited for new releases very often but primal looks fantastic, day one buy for me. totally willing to look past the abomination that was fc4.

My impression is that it looks like shit.

It looks like a Flintstones Pokemon game, which has my attention.

It's Ubisoft: schematic exploration (you picked 1 item out of 50, you climbed a mountain out of 10, etc), facilitisms like highlighted items, everything pointed in the minimap, the ability to see enemies through walls, invisible walls, etc...

I'm not a fan of their open world games for those and many other reasons.

Far Cry 3 was a fantastic game. Not sure about this one..

FarCry 4 has really great options for UI. You can for example toggle individual icons on the mini-map, something I really appreciated. It's nice to easily find plants (imo), but I don't wanna see all the collectibles+loot chests.

Far Cry - amazing game. I played through it multiple times. I loved the AI.

Far Cry 2 - garbage. I stopped playing after about 4 hours.

Far Cry 3 - an okay game. Not as good as Far Cry, but still worth a play through.

Far Cry 4 - Really? A 4th entry was needed? I know nothing about this one, but I can't see a reason to continue on with this series.

Far Cry Primal - WTF? Seriously.....I guess it'll just be another game I don't get unless for some reason it gets rave reviews.

That's a solution to one of the problems.

My solution solves all of them, though. I'll never buy an Ubisoft open world game again unless they start taking notes from better devs like CDRP and Bethesda, and give a break of, at least 3 years, between their games/series.

It's probably because Far Cry 4 is almost the same game as Far Cry 3.

When it comes to appearance, Far Cry 4 is a refined version of Far Cry 3. But, there have been big changes in the vehicles department. The player can also call up an NPC who can fight and drive or ride shotgun. The player can shoot from any vehicle, including the hang glider. Of course, my favorite vehicle is the hovercraft and the Buzzer:

I actually hope it's good though.
