I just purchased Expedition 33 yesterday on Steam. Going in completely blind. All I know is that it's turn based. I've never been a fan of those types of games, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I've been hearing nothing but good things about it on the Steam page.

I actually bought three used Xbox 360s and now buying quite a few extra copies of some OG Xbox and 360 games. Bringing back an old family tradition of lan parties; my siblings and I (and my cousins) all have kiddos now so making it a family day for some OG Halo, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Call of Duty and Ghost Recon, etc.

Nice, must bring back a lot of nostalgia. I played a couple games recently on the PS2 (Silent Hill 3, Viewtiful Joe) and it made me appreciate those games more now.

Also, with the way things have been going with publishers trying to push digital on us, I’ve been wanting to secure more and more physical copies of games. Just re-bought Shenmue 1 & 2 Remastered.

Yup, it was something special back in the day with CTF on Blood Gulch or 1-flag CTF on Zanzibar. The good ol' days!

Yeah, I understand it though since it's about cost and the convenience. Game development is expensive and digital only mitigates some of the backend costs of shipping and production (and the environmental factor too that's clearly something now to think about). How much resources does it take to produce 1 million Blu-ray disks? I've come to accept it fully now. But I'll still retain my large physical collection of games.

Split Fiction, which I got at release. Fun game, but I like It Takes Two better. Been meaning to do a second playthrough as the other character.

Well, I had a tax return come in and sticking to games, or gaming related stuff.

Carmen Sandiego (Switch) - Digital

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (Switch) - Physical

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble DLC - Among Us content

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 - 4K + BR bundle (first 4K disc, which I can ONLY play on my Series)

Far Cry 6 (Xbox One/Series) - Physical. A tenner. Come on! Hard to resist

Retro Gamer Magazine - PS2 issue
