What Are Your Reasons For Buying/Not Buying PS3/Wii/360 This Xmas?

The 40/80 GB is stupid.

40-i wonder if sony chose Wi Fi over BC. But anyway, i dont need wi fi and idont need blu ray spider man

80- dont wont a gimped BC PS3, Motorstorm has rumble back but the speed of the game is to slow and it doesnt have no 4 player splitscreen. Not even 2 player splitscreen. This game would of been huge if it had speed, rumble, 4 player and custom soundtrack.

Why buy a PS3 now knowing the controller will be replaced by the DS3

The only advantage xbox 1 had over PS2 was the fact you can listen to your own music in some games. Mircosoft knew how popular the feature was and made it better on 360. You would think Sony would of had somthing as simple as that on day 1.

360- All i see is shooters. yeah MS is getting games that i liked during my PS2 run, but i dont pay over $20 for 1 player action/adventure games besides GTA that is. Sports games are still number 1 around here and only 4 players is not enough.

Wii- yeah i played Mario Galaxy and liked it( wished u can use a regular controler) but thats only one game and the list of wii games dont turn me on. Nintendo last AAA console is SNES.

one console takes enough of my money.

i always eventually play all the great games of the generation either sooner or later it'll happen.

I will not be buying an Xbox 360 this year because Microsoft's customer service has gone so far as to break the law in their dealings with both myself and my family. You're welcome to check my profile (click my username) to see the blog entry on this. It's absolutely sickening how they've been treating their customers, and I won't stand for it.

I may be buying my Wii this year or early next year. I'm not sure about the PS3 yet, and there might be some PC upgrades thrown in their. We'll see.

I don't think achievements has anything to do with it, but it's the exploit of the common nerd. Which we all are.

No, achievements isn't my problem, but gamers who think achievements are a necessity. I personal know gamers who say the game sucks, but still plays if for achievements.

PS3- I don't have enough money

Xbox 360- Not enough money and I don't like their hardware failure rate (waiting until they get it down to 1-2%)

Wii- It doesn't have titles that interest me because most of the games are party games and I never have family or friends over to play videogames)

My main reason for not picking up any systems this Christmas (and every Christmas until the next generation) is because college is going to suck me dry next year. I'm expecting to spend $40-$45,000 in the next 4 years (mostly out of pocket). I could go to a local college (in my hometown) and spend the left over money on getting all the systems, a sweet gaming PC, HDTV, and a brand new car, but who wants that when you can go to UNC Chapel Hill or State and get a degree that you will never use?

I haven't met anyone who values achievements over games, in forums or out. I have trouble believing that there are gamers who would happily spend their time playing through a game they hate to get a few points. But then again I had trouble believing people would actually buy the horrible plastic golf clubs and tennis rackets for the Wii remotes but people do.

I already own a DS, Wii, Xbox360, and a somewhat dated PC(hey, i can play FEAR! man i love that game). I'm passing on the PS3 this christmas for multiple reasons

1. I'm getting a PSP
2. I want quite a few games for the platforms i already have, and i simply do not have enough money to justify buying them all myself, so onto the xmas list they go
3. My family is not made of money

PS3 has some interesting games, but compared to what every system is offering at the moment, i'm not hurting too much. Of course, i'd love to get a 40 gig model in the future. Perhaps i'll make it my goal over this coming summer?
