The only thing I’m looking forward to in 2023 is Hogwarts Legacy and Diablo IV (holding my breath on that one though).

Honestly can't think of 5.
Pick up Street Fighter 6, but just so busy with irl stuff atm can't see myself pouring the same investment as 5.
Like UnderRail a lot, as far as i'm concerned the greatest game no asshole has actually played. Esp on this forum. Looking forward to Infusion which is a stand lone campaign.
Guess Stalker 2, have a feeling might **** it up, so pretty tepid.
What about Atomic heart cup?
I'm only interested in three games in 2023 for now unless they get delayed since this is becoming very common these days.
1- Resident Evil 4 Remake
2- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
3- Stalker 2
Can't think of other games in 2023 that I might be interested but I could change my mind later on.
1. Zelda TOTK the sequel to the best game ever made.
2. Spiderman 2 the first game was great insomniac is on a rule and knowing insomniac I think it will improve on what was a already really good game by a good amount.
3. Suicide squad kill the Justice league love the arkham games and being by the same studio I am pretty hyped. Have only seen a little gameplay but the little we have seen looks great and being Kevin's last time has batman to.
4. Horizon forbidden west burning shores dlc. I considered the Horizon games to be the 2 best sony games ever made and the dlc for zero dawn was even better than the main game so maybe this can be better than forbidden west.
5. Horizon call of the mountain like I said I love the horizon games plus I want to get into vr.
From what's been announced so far:
...I'm definitely forgetting some though.
Can't narrow it down to 5 sorry and some are in GamePass
So my must play/buy are
Spiderman 2
Starfield
Armored Core 6
Alan Wake 2
Forza Motorsport 8
Redfall
Age of Empires 4
Atomic Heart
Hogwarts Legacy
Homeworld 3
God of War
God of War Ragnarök
Star Wars Jedi Survivor
at the very least.
1. Ark 2.. although it will likely release on gamepass. Either
way though if there is a paid premium version this is a locked in day 1 second 1.
2. Hogwarts Legacy - I'm liking everything I see so far. Another day 1.
3. Payday 3 - I never really got into the first 2, so I'll likely give this a fair chance.
4. Starfield- although I haven't seen much and haven't really loved what I did, I still have faith in this game.
5. Killer klowns from Outer Space - I mean it a game made about a movie I have great memories of..how can if fail.... right?
@SolidGame_basic: Yeah for sure. Like I said I never played it, but it has 96 on metacritic and the ultimate GOTY winner of 2005. my opinions (due to fabulous taste) are always aligned with the critically acclaimed and awarded games so I'll probably enjoy this masterpiece.
and RE2 and RE3 remakes were really good too (I had never played RE2/RE3 on PS1 either)
I haven't been in a gaming mood lately, so meh. So far, the only game I'm going to play is Pokemon: Violet for the Switch. No matter how lazy or depressed or stressed or tired I am, I can always play Pokemon. I might play on my PC, but I've not even been in the mood to play Don't Starve on the PC, and that's usually my most chill game. Much less actually play Fortnite, Smite, FF14, and any new game coming out. I need to get in a better headspace. Worried about school and then having to get a part time job while getting through my anime/manga backlog.
@SolidGame_basic: I know right? shame on me. Never really liked the horror genre and iirc it released on GC before PS2?
Anywho, I did not get around to testing RE4 until after I played Gears of War. There was just no way to go back to a TPS/action game that didn't allow you to aim and move. (like Gears, MGS4, Uncharted, TLOU and pretty much after TPS game released after Gears)
When I heard of the RE2 remake with the new third person camera angle I got super excited for RE4. The day is finally here (in March)
I probably wont buy them in 2023 since I almost always wait for a deep sale these days but of the games releasing in 2023 I want:
1. Tears of the Kingdom
2. Final Fantasy XVI
3. Resident Evil 4 Remake
4. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
5. Destiny 2: Lightfall
I also have my eyes on Diablo 4, Jedi Survivor, Atomic Heart, Lies of P, Alan Wake 2 and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Resident Evil 4's cut content and removed camp will be irritating, but I still expect it to be better than almost any AAA game released that year.
Liked Breath of the Wild, but watching my brother play it so easily on his computer, with mods, made me feel like a sucker for buying the Switch and game.

nope. RE4R will not be better than any game of 2023. original RE4 is overrated and this one looks better but still underwelmingly.
Atomic heart looks best but sadly mainstream media wont praise it and will treat it like Metro and Stalker.

Atomic Heart is in the wrong camera perspective.

Immersive prespective, cant see behind back unlike third person games.

Only immersive in VR. Robotic flat.
No games are "must buy." Getting caught up in hype gets you into trouble.
That said, games that are high on my wishlist are Homeworld 3, Jedi Survivor, Starfield, Hogwarts Legacy and Street Fighter 6.
Not sure if Rogue Trader and Space Marine II will release in 2023, and as a 40k fan for over 25 years, I kinda think they have somewhat niche appeal anyway.
