All right, so Metro 2033 is pretty much a first. We've all seen games made out of movies, games made out of movies made out out of books, and even games made out of poems, but Metro 2033 pretty much marks the first time as well as I am aware, that we've seen a book directly translated into a videogame. This marks an exciting milestone if it is indeed successful. No longer will videogames made out of books have to adapt to the way the movies portray the world. Hopefully we'll see this more often. So what book or book series would you like to see follow in Metro 2033's footsteps, and take the jump into interactive entertainment?
Personally, I'd like to see the Chronicles of Narnia book series translated into a game series. I'll probably get flamed for suggesting this due to the Christian overtones throughout the series, but in my opinion the books offered up not only great morals and characters, but a sense of adventure that I think could translate extremely well into a game world. It had it all, epic battles, exploration, evil characters and numerous plots in each book that a game series could take on well.
So what about you guys? What favorite books of your do you think would translate well into videogames?
