The question will there be more content than what's on Live? because if it isn't it's not really much superior and no need to be happy about home.

The parts that let me find and play against my friends quickly, no matter what game any of us are playing at that moment? Awesome. The parts that let me download new game content? Totally awesome. The parts that let me download movies? Meh, but I guess other people are into that. Home isn't stupid because it has nothing to do with gaming - it's stupid because it doesn't really improve on the existing paradigm. It's innovation for innovation's sake, not for any real benefit.

PSHome is not stupid, but it doesn't have much to do about gaming. Plus I can DL classic games and other arcade games and play them online compare achievements of people I meet easily, stream my messages, etc thru a computer, run my Windows Media center thru my 360, I don't have to worry about games not going online on XBL or getting canned after a while (online play), I can watch more trailers than PSN, get more demos than PSN, watch TV shows, rent movies, video chat with friends over a game of UNO, listen my soundtracks while private chatting and playing a game, background dling, etc. Um, I LOVE XBL :D

I feel XBL is a unified online service that helps developers optimize their games for online quicker, and lets me connect to a unified friends list and easily create parties. I feel Home is kinda cool, but is in the end largely a gimmick, and it will come down to how well its bare features preform. Happy?

I'm no fanboy, but I'll answer you anyway.

XBL still comes out on top because what it does related to gaming is still above more than what PSN brings to the table.

Even something as simple as a cross-game invite.  XBL's is functional in that a press of a button and a disc swap and you'll be put into your friend's session.  PSN's idea of game invite is a simple text message..... and that's it.

Then you have the idea of a community that's self regulating.  With gamer zones, reps and feedback, you can directly affect matchmaking.

And for the times that need hands-on intervention, there is an active team of MS employees monitoring feedback to suspend or ban offiensive players.

On top of that you have the fact that XBL is a closed, secure gaming network.

Also consider the heavy community support MS offers to indie website developers.  That's why we have things like our gamercards in our sigs and 360voice.com amongst other services.  Not to mention their ambassador program where they invite community leaders from popular fan sites to join MS at trade shows and game premieres.  And of course, you can't forget MS seems more connected to its community than Sony does.

How's that?

Wow, So home can let me stream content from my Window Media Center PC? I can check my messages from a PC? I know what PSHome is capable of, and it is not capable of all the things I have listed. Like I said PSHome in not stupid, but it doesn't have much to do with gaming in general. It's main plan is to make PSN more of a sociable place and have nothing to do with gaming. XBL has much to do with gaming because it is more of broad area. It personifies the whole online gaming aspect of the Xbox360. And PSHome is a feature of PSN.

You asked what I thought of XBL, didn't you?

I just listed a bunch of things that XBL DOES do with gaming that PSN does not.  Home doesn't help it come close.

Completely useless?  Why?  Because I made a point and you have no idea how to counter it?  That seems likely.

How's that?

You wanna know how was that? Completely useless. Not one time you mention Home.

You asked what I thought of XBL, didn't you?

I just listed a bunch of things that XBL DOES do with gaming that PSN does not. Home doesn't help it come close.

Completely useless? Why? Because I made a point and you have no idea how to counter it? That seems likely.

PSN and PS Home are different...

[QUOTE="shungokustasu"][QUOTE="Tulak_Hord"]PSHome is not stupid, but it doesn't have much to do about gaming. Um, I LOVE XBL :DTulak_Hord
All that you listed on XBL, Home can do also. So if Home has nothing to do with gaming, Why does XBL does?

Wow, So home can let me stream content from my Window Media Center PC? I can check my messages from a PC? I know what PSHome is capable of, and it is not capable of all the things I have listed. Like I said PSHome in not stupid, but it doesn't have much to do with gaming in general. It's main plan is to make PSN more of a sociable place and have nothing to do with gaming. XBL has much to do with gaming because it is more of broad area. It personifies the whole online gaming aspect of the Xbox360. And PSHome is a feature of PSN.

True, you can't msg people on the computer while not on the XBOX 360. Heck, you can't even compare games and etc. on PSN. PSHome is great, but they are missing those. Another thing that PS3 will never have is: 30 metres clearance for wireless voice chat. gnutux

[QUOTE="lowe0"][QUOTE="shungokustasu"][QUOTE="lowe0"]The parts that let me find and play against my friends quickly, no matter what game any of us are playing at that moment?

Your first answer. Home can do that too Second answer. Home can do that too Third answer. To call home stupid is a slap in the face to XBL.

Yes, Home can do that, but can it do it any better? If Home doesn't make it easier to play online, then what's the point?

I don't know if it's good or not, so do you. All we know that it does it. Are you skeptical of home? fine with me. To bash it? then you have a problem with contradictions.
