So, I just finished ACIII today, and what a hell of a game it was. The ending was good, however I didn't want Desmond to die (I warned you about spoilers).

Juno is still alive and she is going to tear the world apart so who do you think that will replace Desmond's place? And will the 3 remaining characters (Desmond's father and the others) play any role on the next games? Will it be named Assassin's Creed IV or shall they change the name? Since they only need to focus on the present, will it there be a need to go back in time with the Animus?

I'm thinking:

A) Demond's mind gets sent back to the First Civilization into whatever ancestor he had at that time, and then Desmond tries to learn the secrets of Juno. While this is going on, Desmond will continually go back to Connor from time to time because of some hidden clue left by Juno to her plans in the future.

B) Completely new modern Assassin who fights against Juno in modern times, while having some ancestor in the past that he switches back to.

C) Assassin's Creed: Jurrassic Edition

The series can die now for all I care. AC 3 isn't anything special, my friend sold it the day after I beat it. The AC games are so lacking, the combat is too easy and the "open world" aspects of AC 3 are so weak and shallow. There was nothing to do in the Frontier aside from hunting, attacking random convoys, and the occasional fort raid. The game was a big let down.

I can't talk about the online because I didn't play it, but the past AC games had garbage multiplayer so AC 3 probably does as well. IF they do make another one, then they need to set it in Nazi Germany where you play as a Jewish resistance fighter. You can fight with Krav Maga and kick fascist ass. Or set it in Asia, maybe China, Korea, or Japan. You could play as a Ninja Assassin set in Japan.

And yet you seemed to have this love for Mirror's Edge, which doesn't have tight gameplay or the player freedom.

Not all the missions were bad, some of them were terrible but some of them were good. And while the assassinations lacked alot of freedom, I still found them pretty fun. Most of the bugs have been ironed out, and none of them were extremely bad.

As much as I liked the game, I will say that I do not like the direction Assassins Creed is headed. I'm just worried that instead of back to earlier times, we'll see Assassin's Creed World War II soon instead.

I liked the game but i wouldn't go that far, Far Cry 3 is easily the GOTY 2012 or even the game of this Gen for me.

It's a sad irony really.

The other developers that were stuck making Brotherhood and Revelations managed to create complete games that both ended with a bang in under a year each while the main development team had three full years to make their game and they flopped.

I'm guessing most people played it like some action game. I played it like a stealth game and it felt so much more satisfying. I really liked the story as well, the Connor one. I think a lot of people don't and find the characters boring, I guess I'm the exception.... The only parts I found rushed were the bugs and the end of the modern story, the epilogue for Connor was good albeit a sad ending for the character.

I don't know but these games need more development time. Would probably help a lot of issues plaguing the series.

I LOVED Assassin's Creed II, despite it's gameplay shortcomings. Got the Platinum and enjoyed every minute of it. And I really liked a lot about Assassin's Creed III - just finished it a few days ago. But that being said, F-CK That F-CKING ending. It was, and I'm not exaggerating, the WORST ENDING OF ANY GAME THIS GENERATION. You reach the end of Connor's story, and you're ready for those end credits, but then it throws you in a F-CKING cave for over an hour with Desmond, who nobody f-cking likes, and makes you try to track down a series of nonsensical bullsh-t cutscenes which are completely incoherent and pretentious. Then it rewards you for the tedious work you had to do by killing off the main character for no clear reason except "You have to die to save the world." And then, thirty f-cking minutes of credits. Man, I was screaming at the television. Literally. F-ck that sh-t.

Brotherhood was great but even Revelations started to feel kind of stale. This was just more of the same but with poor mission structure, too many unexplained gameplay mechanics, a terrible story and so many bugs. The growth on Desmond's back that clipped through his backpack was sooooooooo annoying anytime I stepped out of the Animus. I dont get how a game like this gets released. It was basically unfinished

The stealth is so bad in the AC series, its more fun to just fight everyone. Ill give it that, the fighting is still fun as hell and Connor feels like such a badass when fighting groups of guys. Connor was wasted on this game, he could have been the best AC protagonist yet but they made him too naive and just awkwardly placed him in big moments during the war. Its a shame because I really wanted to like him, his backstory was pretty cool and I liked the potential conflict within himself because he was mixed. Too many bugs. It wouldn't let me do the missions to recruit Assassins sometimes. I had to leave and come back to the area. I fell through the world at least 3 times while I played. The annoying growth on Desmond's back. The game was just a disaster. Easily the worst game in the series.
