Personally, id have to go with the genesis. Vectorman 1+2, Sonic 1,2,3, Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic Pinball, the Strike series, Echo the Dolphin, Lightening Force. Yeah, those were all ace games. What about you?

snes...i really dont see how people prefer sonic over nintendo platformers...sonic is NOWHERE near as good
oh, and this
oh, and snes had sexy 3d games liike this:
LOZ: Temple of time Strike Gunner BattletoadsGh0st_Of_0nyxYeah, that's still my favorite game ever.
I honestly got a SNES late. Never owned a Genesis. I was playing PC games as i always have in their era (started gaming in 1990 with PC games, haven't played much else since).
Based on my experience with both late (had a buddy that owned a genesis) i'd go with SNES. I really couldn't get enough of Zelda a Link to the Past and the Mario SNES titles.
The Genesis was much better. Sega was always ahead of the competition. Sonic 3+knuckles>>>>>>Super Mario World.GeoffZakDonkey Kong Country? Link to the Past? Freaking Super Metroid?
[QUOTE="Gh0st_Of_0nyx"]LOZ: Temple of time Strike Gunner BattletoadsCherokee_JackYeah, that's still my favorite game ever. :P Opps it seems when I tried to post all the games I listed mashed into one And I totally mean LOZ: A link to the past, Dont know why I typed temple of time :?
SNES
CT, Sectet of Mana, Zelda, Super mario All Stars, Yoshis island, Donkey Kong Country, Super Ghouls and Ghosts, Mario RPG, FF etc
SNES is one of my favorite consoles ever. I started playing NES and SNES first but SNES left a better impression on me. Street Fighter II, Castlevania IV, Castlevania Dracula X, Contra III, Chrono Trigger...those were the days. Genesis didn't cut it for me. I couldn't stand the controller for fighters either but I think it was a decent console.
Edit: Super Metroid, how the hell did I forget that?
