What Current Gen Game Is The Closest To Being A Unanimously Regarded Masterpeice

NO GAME IS WITHOUT HATERS! That is the most important thing i need to make clear that i am aware of.Its the ironic characteristic of the gaming community, when a game gets bad reviews, there will be a majority that call the game terrible an a good sized group of people complaining the critics were too harsh. And then when a game gets mega popular, a large population may adore the game but of course there is the group that will call the game overrated or call critics biased or foolish.

Well this is what i see alot on SW, people arguing about games under or over rated, it just makes a guy want to scream at the top of ur lungs and say "OMG, is there a game system wars as a whole DOES like??!!". I doubt this thread will answer that question. Heck this board is called a war, not a negotiation haha.

BUT lets get to my main point. Sure, no game is perfect or without haters, but if u had to pick one current gen game, which one do you think is the most highly regarded and unanimously respected by the gaming community. Like i said, this doesnt have to mean it has to have no haters, but the least haters!!!! Understand?!

Basically what everyone else said haha, Uncharted 2 is also one of the highest regarded games this gen. I'd also give Skyward Sword a chance.

None of the games listed on here deserve hate though, they're all great games.

Oh please.

Not too many people bash Demon Soul's. Actually, one of the only people I've seen bashing is in love with the PS3.

I don't know why so many people insist on trying to make PS3 exclusives look like the victims of hate campaign.

Most people seem to either misunderstand this thread or have a very strange point of view. How could anybody say Super Mario Galaxy 2 for example? It gets tons of hate for being "kiddy" or a "rehash" or being "overrated". Any Mario game does. Bioshock also gets a fair share of hate. So does Demon's Souls for being difficult and the lack of story, Mass Effect for bad shooting gameplay and not being a proper RPG or Halo for being the same old Halo. The only game I would agree on that was mentioned is Arkham Asylum. You hardly see anybody trashing it.nethernova

I don't think that there is a definitive one because no matter what game it is, there will be a huge opposition of gamers that like a different game more, there will never be a complete consensus. Although there are some nominees such as Uncharted 2, MGS4, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock, Red Dead Redemption, Super Mario Galaxy just to name a few.

A game entirely without haters? Does not exists (especially not in SW).

The closest you'll get are Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Demon Souls.

(I have not heard anyone talk trash about Portal 2 yet but give it time... it'll probably come.)

And personally I have yet to hear a single negative remark about the game Frozen Synapse. In fact all I've heard so far is that it's a masterpiece :P I have yet to play it though.

Arkham Asylum, Portal, Super Mario Galaxy, and Bioshock. I'd list Uncharted but IMO it has too many flaws to it's game design to be considered a "masterpiece."

Wrong way around. A role playing game with TPS combat.
