What Current Gen Game Is The Closest To Being A Unanimously Regarded Masterpeice

Super Mario Galaxy

Portal 2, RDR and Mario galaxy. (1 and 2) (although I disagree with RDR and Portal 2 somewhat.)

Arkham Asylum, Portal and Minecraft.

Arkham Asylum, Portal, Super Mario Galaxy, and Bioshock. I'd list Uncharted but IMO it has too many flaws to it's game design to be considered a "masterpiece."

I'll go with Mass Effect 2 and Uncharted 2. Can't really pick between them.

Metal Gear Solid 4, best single player game I have ever played. Portal was unique as hell to.

Mass Effect. If only for creating one of the best sci-fi universes ever. Sci-fi movies included.

If only the animation was at RDR's level...

No, that is GTAIV. MGS4 is not even in the top 20. It's not even the highest rated MGS game.

There are some games that should be considered masterpeices but sadly they were overlooked. Knights in the Nightmare being the prime candidate, and Silent Hill Shattered Memories in the story and music department.

I don't think I've ever seen any significant number of people hate on Portal. Even Yahtzee praised it, and he's paid to be a troll.meetroid8

It's kinda weird that somehow people think MGS4's 10 is the end-all, be-all yet when somebody tries to defend GTAIV with its 10, it somehow doesn't count even though GTAIV's aggregate score came closer to 10 than MGS4's.

I disagree. I couldn't stand it. I know a lot of people didn't care for it either. It's perfectly fine if you like it, but it is nowhere near a "masterpiece."

Either Bioshock or SMG2. Maybe Last Guardian if it ever comes out and it's all I hope it to be.

Oh man, Silent Hill: Shattered Memeories IS a masterpiece. A freaking work of art.

My biggest letdown this gen. I thought the gunplay was VERY weak.

I'd have to go with the Super Mario Galaxy games.

Arkham Asylum may get no hate, but not nearly as many people think its the best game of the gen as they do the Mario Galaxy games
