What current gen games do you consider a 10/10 or close to it?

10/10 to me doesn't mean a game is perfect, but that overall it's exceptional. It should be played! So here are some games that come to mind.

• Bayonetta 2 - it's one of the best action games I ever played. Nintendo, please release 3 already!
• Bloodborne - finally a game that challenges you to use the dodge button instead of block all the time lol.
• God of War - this game comes close to 10/10. Too many recycled enemies. But the combat is thrilling.
• Zelda: Breath of the Wild - dungeons were a let down, but overall, closest thing to Ocarina for me.

I'll give an honorable mention to Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Love that game, although the decision to make it a multipart series kinda holds it back from making my list, since it's just the beginning.

So there you have it, SW. I consider these games a 10/10 or close to it. How about you? What games do you hold in that regard?

So it looks like Nintendo fans are counting Wii-U and Switch as part of the same gen?

Perfect 10's are super rare for me. I think the only game getting it this gen for me is probably Witcher 3. Phenomenally done.

Uncharted 4 came close but the multiplayer was half assed. That brought it down a little.

Just bloodborne probably, I like to recommend so many games, but hardly i consider them 10/10 games; closest games to that would be persona 5 and mario odyssey, as for god of war i haven't played it.

I enjoyed a lot of game but nothing gets a 10/10.

None really.

Maybe Ori and will of the wisps, but the nerf to bash, the combat could use more depth, some of the abilities are Zelda'd, and I want some significant tweaks to the shard system. 10/10 to me is king of the genre, or at the least on that level.

Very few games are even top tier for their genre this gen, and the ones that are would still be below the games I deem to be the best in that space. As much as I love Ori, it's still no Super Metroid, Metroid Zero Mission, or La Mulana.

First gen I say ZERO games. Closest? Divinity 2 which I give a 9.5 and Witcher 3 with a solid 9.6.

I don't like handing out 10/10s. Only 10/10 I give this gen is Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Red Dead II and God of War both came dangerously close, like 9.7/10.

Death Stranding, FFVII:R & Witcher 3 get 9.5/10
