What do all you EA haters think now?

I'm not so sure about the other games, but those games weren't made by EA. They were made by Westwood, and Maxis, two of my favorite companies. The fact that they were bought out by EA is only a technicality.

No, Red Alert and C&C 3 is being made by EA LA (which is my favruite division of EA next to Bioware) and Spore is made by Maxis which is owned by EA. Technicallity or not, EA controls their fate.

If your meaning that as a bad thing then I disagree. I think Riccotello is a fantastic guy and he's pretty reasonable as the CEO of EA. He seems to know whats going on around him.

They almost ended any possibility with the Take2 buyout attempt.

Perhaps one day companies will learn that punishing the legitimate customers won't aid them?

How well has the music industry been doing after all their attempts to punish users?

Take a look at Epic, they are giving away free Gears 1 map-pack with the new purchase of any Gears 2 game. In an attempt to discourage used game sales. That's called attacking a problem with creativity. Not punishing their users.
