I hate that some of the achievements in Halo 3 are ridiculous. Seriously... get a double kill with one Spartan Laser shot? pffft. Although I did get it, it was mostly based on luck.
I like Halo. I also really love FPS. Halo, RB6, COD4 are all fun for different reasons. Halo is a huge franchise (maybe too huge) and thus it opens itself up to ridicule.
I hate Halo: CE because it's MP is a step back from past games (like Perfect Dark) while it's campaign was a slog of repetition until it reached the gaming equivilant of hell (The Library). Other than that, I have no hate for the Halo series, except for how it spawned off a generation or so of mediocre, repetitive, uninspired FPS games.
I hate people who have nothing better to do, so they complain about every little thing in the game. but thats just my opinion, thats what everyone in this post is doing, giving there opinion, which they are entitled too, even if its completely stupid...(e.g. Halo on Ps3)
I don't halo. Well, that's not completely true, Halo2 was completely mediocre, but CE and 3 were quite good. I just don't think that it deserves all of the hype and praise that it gets.

The community. Not just the annoying 13 year olds who figure "I'm on teh interwebs, I can say whatever I want!" but the fact no one understands the "Team" in "Team Slayer" or "Team Objective" or any of the team based games. I have the same problem with CoD4, no one talks and instead of a smart, cohiesive team you get X number of players trying to lone wolf. Thank god Vegas 2 is out next month.

I thought graw and geow had best communication, but no one wants to talk to geow players anymore cause all the good ones left. But yes halo3 is great for teaming up.

Vegas 1 had the best team-based MP I've played on consoles, and with Halo 3/CoD 4 sucking up most of the "Halo kid" demographic Vegas 2 should be great as well. I agree that Halo is great when you get a good party, but thats the rub; it's a pain in the ass finding a good party.
I dont HATE it, I just dont like the single player. Halo: CE is considered the best, but IMO it was a one big bag of "Watch out, covenant troops approaching" until to the very end. And the beggining reminded me of something some nerd using Game Maker 6.0 would come up with...

Yeah I recently started playing Gears online and it's very insular and cliqueish. Nobody wants to help you with anything and your teammates will steal your kills before they revive you. The other team heaps ridicule on you if you are losing while whining about people leaving in the same breath. Bunch of bile.
I don't hate Halo I just think that for all of the hype it gets, it is quite mediocre. There are many better multiplayer and non-multiplayer FPS games on PC.
Well the game itself is a good game but it's the crazy fanboys that kill me. It's a good game but it's not THAT great for the kiddies to go gah-gah over and praise it like it's a divine FPS. But to all their own. To many it's just not as great as the fanboys want everyone to believe it is.
Only played the 1st one on PC, it was decent but graphics were awfull, the artstyle left a lot to hope for, the pokemon enemies and plastic guns just didn't do it for me, and the copy paste environments like the library level just felt cheap. Otherwise it was a good shooter all around imo.
I dislike the weak single player that is a constant throughout the Halo series.
Other than that, I think Halo is fantastic. Great MP.

Agreed. Even though I enjoy the MP and making fun of kids who suck even though they play all day I cant play it that long. I don't even own halo3 yet just the other day me and my friend were playing it online. Went into a game and I instantly own everyone. I'm not saying I'm the best but I think its sad if I can walk into a match an utterly annihilate people. Then they go and cry which is my favorite part about playing online. I love the classic lines that I here after I own someone. "I just got this game." That's the best one. There just sad that I walked into a match and had the most kills.
i dont like how grenades are weak in comparison to other FPS. i dont like the feel of many of the weapons, the AR especially. and i just overall dont get why so many people love the game so much.

The only thing i dislike about Halo is the tendency to have huge epic awesome battles in the books, comics, tv commercials... but never in the actual game. You're always hyped for a WAR but get a series of small skirmishes instead. I wouldn't mind if they'd stop hyping you up to expect otherwise.

You're forgetting that you're a sparan with armour and shields. That's why grenade aren't as powerful as other FPSs. Throw one at the grunts, or marines, instant kablamo.
