Maybe fanboys can't actully answer the question? They just don't like cause it is not a multiplat on thier system of choice.

I don't hate Halo. It's a great series. I just hate that it's hailed as greatest game evar! When it just isn't. Better FPSs out there. If it was just a random series no one had heard of, like Red Faction for example, I would be grand with it.locopatho

I dont think I could have put it any better than myself really. RF3 is in the works and cant wait.

I hate Halo: CE because it's MP is a step back from past games (like Perfect Dark) while it's campaign was a slog of repetition until it reached the gaming equivilant of hell (The Library). Other than that, I have no hate for the Halo series, except for how it spawned off a generation or so of mediocre, repetitive, uninspired FPS games.Hoffgod

Yeah, that really gets me. If you dont have a mic, dont play ranked! Thats where it becomes really important to have a good freinds list. I find having people you know in real life are better to play with then those met online.

Things I also hate:

When a person turns off, quits to dashboard as a game is starting, making it 3v4 or whatever, making it wholely unfair as a result, the game isnt stopped and re-matched. And when you lose, which you most of the time will, you can de-rank! IT WASNT MY FAULT!

I also ate how a party of three will, alot of the time, be partied with another random dude, even right after another party of three joined before.

Shotgun lunge is WAAAY too much.

Dbl jumping to hiding places? So like, jumping on a persons head is a key halo gameplay tweak now? UGH, it just seems so cheap to me. Why dont you just BR me like a man?

The single player is absolutely terrible, and the people online make me sad that those people will some day reproduce and spread their stupidity to further generations. Local multiplayer is good though.jeffwulf

No coagulation in Halo 3 other than that i love halo and I'm sick of people saying it sucks, Halo is about the story and the multilayer you say the story sucks you need to read the books to understand it compleatly. Bungie did not make the hype fanboys did.

The first Halo was released back in 2001. At that time, the multiplayer was fantastic.

But, I consider Halo series an average one. I did not grow fond of the 3rd, the 2nd was alright, but the 1st was great. Same old crap throughout the whole series. Broken "matchmaking" (when I start out, I don't want to fact people totally better than me). Annoying community, rehased story (the first Halo was the only good one on the story perspective). But, it was fun at the same time. I only played Halo 3 for a week (a rental), because of Forge, and saving features. And I have never considered to buy it, since I have Call of Duty 4. A better online multiplayer, and better singleplayer game. :)

How good are you, cuz the "good" players are still on Halo 3 if you see my friends(and even me), the good people stay, and teh bad people leave, to be honest, I am really good at Cod4 also but I think it is way too simple and halo to me requires more skill, the Br takes a ton of skill. Whereas some ppl abuse with teh freakin rpd which can basically snipe cross map.

Very true, however at one point, for about 15 hours, COD4 had more people on, but overall halo does get a lot more traffic

Mute button is like God. I can never play a full game without reaching for it. Doesnt say much for the community, but boy is that mute button great. :Dbeast667

You got that right, without that button I don't have any way of finishing a match. But really if I don't use mute, I just tried to ignored the opponent and focus mainly on the match as best as possible.

I hate it for its undeserved hype. The campaign is linear and boring, the weapons are unoriginal, and the plot is mediocre.

I had way more fun playing Timesplitters and Red Faction both in campaign and MP, and yet they dont get the same attention and love they deserve.

The campaign outright sucks. I was a massive fan of the first two games in the series, and why they did what they did with the third game I'll never know. I returned my copy within a week of purchasing it.

All the Halo games have gone to the PC, except for Halo 3 (but it most likely will at some point), so the Halo series actually is multi-plat.

Halo2's campain was the worst halo3 just tried to revive but it was already gone.

I hate that some of the achievements in Halo 3 are ridiculous. Seriously... get a double kill with one Spartan Laser shot? pffft. Although I did get it, it was mostly based on luck.dracula_16

I actually like those achievements. You actually have to work for them and it takes skill. Unlike achievements like "Fail a song on easy" or "Watch the credits" in Guitar Hero 2. I mean wtf...those aren't achievements. They just mean you suck or don't have anything better to do then watch credits. Unless the credits rock, but they didn't...
