I would like thier fanboys to type in comphrensible paragraphs, thank you very much.
lol, its popular games are the same games gamecube had and n64 had. Go back to the glory days of the SNES, then I'll buy a Wii.
Poor graphics, poor online, and mostly kid-friendly games? No thanks.
1) Gamecube had the best quality hardcore games, but not enough of them. They simply had the lowest number of good games, missing way too many great franchises.
2) I want multiplats from the wii.

MGS is a franchise that should have been one and done. I can be inflammatory too.

Indeed.
TC you're misguided. Many hardcores did buy thecube but there just isn't enough hardcore gamers out there. Ps2 won because it was the most casual system with the most casual games. It only really had the most hardcore games when the gen was out of reach.
Hell, there is really no such thing as a true hardcore either. Many people here who consider them hardcore gamers are still hyped for GTA4, which is casual tripe with almost no depth. That's what fans of the series want and that's what will sell. And dont get me wrong, it's also what I want from it :)
How about games. Games like GTA4?
The Wii is so underpowered it will never get games like this, and if it did, they'd be inferior to the 360 and PS3 versions. Unless you can create an amazing argument that GTA4, Resident Evil 5, and Assassin's Creed would benefit being on the Wii
Assassin's Creed's worlds would have to be significantly quarted to smaller pieces, it would have Prince of Persia Wii graphics, and the crowd mechanicsand physics would be last gen. Repeat what I just said for pretty much the other games.
get the picture Wii lovers? Wii can't do a lot of stuff, period.

LMFAO. MGS has a continuing storyline. Compare that to Zelda, and all I get is feelings of "haven't I been here before?"
How many times can you find the hookshot or the fishing rod and still find it entertaining?
People get tired of Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Samus, etc.
believe it or not.
The only problem I see is that they are catering to the hardcore only 50%, instead of the 100% they used to do.
It has always been liked that with the majority for gamers and minority for something else.
Like during the NES and SNES years it was 70% hardcore and 30% kids.
During the Gamecube era it was 100% hardcore.
But now it's only 50/50 between hardcore and old people.
That's my problem.

There has never been a system made by any company that catered 100% to the hardcore. Don't say ridiculous things.

I didn't say anything about any of those franchises.
MGS1 was cool and original, 2 I fell asleep in the ending after forcing myself to play through, 3 and 4 i'm simply not going to bother with. Much like the Matrix movies, they shoulda been done after the first one. But that money tree is hard to resist.

that arg doesn't really work. Sure wii will never get gta4 and all those other games you mentioned but gamers on other platforms can never get a game like wiisports or zack and wiki. They wont have access to an experience quite like it. Plus, you'd have to think that as long as the wii stays popular it will get more than its fair share of great games.
I would be that rockstar will make some kind of gta game for the wii, like a gta4 spinoff or something

It felt like it.
Does the Wii feel that it is for the hardcore? No.
Did the Gamecube did? Yes.

WTF are you talking about? You do know the series has a fanbase in the millions, right? OMG, the game is inaccessible because it has a story you have to follow and dialogue you have to read/interpret! GTFO.
I'm sorry but a Nintendo fan talking about how certain franchises need to end or have gone on far too long is friggin hilarious!
And no you didn't say anything about those franchises, but those are Nintendo's mainstays. I've played some of those games for close to 2 decades, I'm done with it. How about a little variety?

i never knew the metal gear series wasnt aorund since NES DAYS.
plus, nintendo has been out a longer time than almost any gaminig company out today, also whats with people sayign they've ben playing the same games for 2dec. EVERY zelda has its own unique story line, maybe the same base stroy, but a different one nonetheless.

every nintendo franchise has millions of fans, so by your previous statement they NO NOT need to end.
I dont know about everybody else...but I want graphics that are better than my psp games.....and some good games, just click on reviews for Wii....nothing but averageness.....
Ignore the Wii haters. Most are stubborn kids that are new to gaming, and hence haven't NEEDED anything new from a console besides graphics. Others just refuse to give it an honest chance on a GOOD game. Some are just jealous of the success and games like Mario Galaxy. And yet more are just jerks.
Point is, anybody with sense that just didn't like the Wii would just say stuff like "As of now, not enough games use the controller enough to justify it" instead of "Wii is for kids and has **** graphics."

I already said MGS is exempt since it has a continuing story. It doesn't matter when it started if it has one single story that ties all the games together. As for games like Metal Gear Ac!d, get rid of them, because those are just tapping the money tree.
Same base story with very similar gameplay each time. I'm not saying Zelda series is bad, I'm just tired of playing the same thing over and over since I was 4 or 6 years old. Many people agree with this, otherwise gamers wouldn't have jumped ship and followed PS or Genesis for that matter.

lol, don't put words in my mouth. That was in response to the previous poster saying MGS needed to end after the first one because he found it boring and that Konami was simply cashing in by releasing more MGS games. Again, do not talk to me about cashing in, when you are trying to "defend" Nintendo.
