trophies >achievements?st1kaBut this has a poll. :? And it's not about comparing the pros or cons of the two. It's about personal feelings of which you like more.
trophies >achievements?st1kalol. anyway, I like both equally. They are fun to get, but they are not really a big deal.
[QUOTE="killerfist"][QUOTE="anshul89"]Both are pointless.anshul89That's what everybody with a low gamerscore says:PI'd rather practice and get better at a game than waste my time unlocking achievements. true.
I would have to say I care about Achievements alittle bit more, I had a 360 first and started to get them on the 360 first. But overall I don't really care that much about it, if the game is pretty much the same on the PS3/360 I'll get the 360; however if the game is on the PC/360, I'll get it on the PC (except for Bioshock, because at the time my PC couldn't run Bioshock that well)

It is not about the size of your gamerscore it is how you use it. :D
The concept of Trophies are cooler than Achievements IMO. But I care for neither. When Sony starts the Trophy reward system I will definitely care then. I only wish MS would do that as well.TREAL_SinceMS has done a few reward contests in relation to Achievements already.

I am pretty sure MS was talking about a reward system for achievements points (this was afew years ago), not sure what happened to it, may have a hard time finding the 'cheaters'

They are both a waste of time right now for me. Unless I am rewarded in some way inside or outside of the game, I hate chasing them. Uncharted and Dead Rising are perfect reasons to get all Trophies/Achievements though.

MS can find cheaters, then remove all their gamerscore.[QUOTE="SpruceCaboose"][QUOTE="TREAL_Since"]The concept of Trophies are cooler than Achievements IMO. But I care for neither. Is the Sony idea anything more than a rumor at this point? I honestly think that Sony is walking into a very bad idea if they go through with it, especially with the thin profit lines that the PS3 has already and how fierce gamers will get for fake point, especially if they can get free stuff out of it. It would be nice for me, but I kinda think Sony may be biting off a bit much.

It would be nice for me, but I kinda think Sony may be biting off a bit much. I think it will promote higher game sales/rentals. And it will most likely be implemented into Home. That way more people roam Home, purchase new stuff and catch glimpses at the advertising. Sony could royalties out of it if they set it up properly. I think it will build a more robust "who's playing what" "I want that too" community that the 360 has. It could be quite beneficial for both parties. We will see though.
P.S. It's still a rumor I think.
trophies , because they reward you more than achievements . Respect for platinum trophies . They prove quality>quantity . with achievements, it's just who can afford the most games . While this also counts for trophies , a quick look hummiliates all those "bronze only" losers .
How is someone who only has bronze trophies a loser? :|While this also counts for trophies , a quick look hummiliates all those "bronze only" losers .

Only on the internet do socially awkward teenagers believe a loser is someone who only has "bronze trophies" on a console.trophies , because they reward you more than achievements . I don't particularly care. They're just something that gives you a feeling of accomplishment.
I haven't got a 360 so I can't really say which is better...
trophies >achievements?st1kaThat PS John guy seems like such a fanboy... :| did he get banned? I choose trophies, though. I'd rather have it let me level up rather than just contribute to a big number.

[QUOTE="zekere"]How is someone who only has bronze trophies a loser? :| Agreed, I got 9 free bronzes in Mirror's Edge because each bronze trophy I got was for beating a chapter...While this also counts for trophies , a quick look hummiliates all those "bronze only" losers .

people keep going on about gamerscore, I dont yet have a 360, but I ask, is it just a score where people can see how much score you have accumulated. if so, whats so fascinating about it, it seems to me, its kinda like an e-penis thing. 'my gamerscore is more than yours'
I dont really get it, can someone please explain it to me better, thanks.
also, to TC. in my opinion, they are both pointless, its just a way to keep you to continue playing a crap game, because if you truly love the game, you wont need achievements/trophies as a motivator for you.
Both are e-penis enhancers. My friend has a GS of 105,000. But in order to achieve it, he had to play through some ****** games. Games that he would've never played if there were no achievements.bez2083ok, so he bought lots of crap games or games he did not like in order to 'achieve' that score. so what has he gained? seriously, does it make him look cool, what is the purpose? lol. when he reaches 1 billion score, what is going to happen? nothing. what will he achieve? nothing. I just dont get it. but if it makes people feel 'cool', then they should go on, do whatever makes you happy.
