@thehig1: Burnt out on crack or alcohol?
1. Continue doing them because I am addicted.
Or
2. Go to treatment/Rehab.
Or
3. Replace Crack and Alcohol with a new drug like ecstasy, meth or opiates.
Bro, what is your point? The options seem extreme.
@recloud: Bro, you don't gotta lie to kick it. 2333 posts, and you've only been a member for a couple of months... Yet you've been playing a lot of games.
Suuuure buddy. All your waking hours are spent here uniting the Sony defense force for battle against foes both real, but mostly imagined. How can you be playing games all the time, when 90% of your time is spent here?
You're probably depressed. You should go outside. There's a whole world out there, other than your parents basement.
I failed to see why everyone's so concern on TC post numbers? I'm no different from ReCloud because I too post many times here, even when I was new here late 2014, I was as much active as ReCloud was. Since when did we start counting here all of a sudden?
I usually slow down during the summer and pick up during winter. Seems to have been the same for years.
I've been playing a lot, like a really lot, for the past year until now and then BAM nothing I play anymore captivates me enough to play.
From cinematic games to Mario.
From RPGs to pure action games.
I just can't find anything to play.
I'm thinking about taking a break for a while and see if I can go back to it in the future.
PS4 movie games can do that to you.
It's just a hobby. I think as soon as you feel "obligated" to stick with it, you're screwed. You should feel free to play whatever, whenever, and if you aren't enthused just do something that does enthuse you. You'll probably come back to it eventually. Probably sooner than later. But you shouldn't feel pressured. Life's too short. Learn how to repair small engines, play a new instrument, or take up fly fishing.
Burnt out on gaming? Impossible for me. I have such a huge backlog that I'm really wanting to get to.
Jogging/weight lifting.....usually my regular exercise routine allows me to always enjoy staying indoors afterwards to game.
Only time I get burnt out on games is when I have been sitting at home for too long. Eating a healthy diet and regular exercise is a must for me.....by taking care of myself this ensures an overall healthier state of mind, which in turn allows me to enjoy more of my life, including my favorite hobbies.
I game all week after work about 2 to 3 hours a day. Weekends I try to put a dent in my 6 boxes of comics I haven't read yet till my wife wakes up. Then we head out for beers and whatever. We'll hit antique shops, book stores, farmers markets and maybe a bar or two along the way. Basically just food, beer and tripping around. Football season starts in a month so Sundays will be spent BBQing or at the pub with my fantasy football crew.

Laugh at your posts that what I do when I get bored with games
Anymore I seem to have a habit of gaming in short bursts, and then putting it on the back-burner.
Maybe come Winter time I'll just want to stay in and play more, but I've been wanting to focus on other things a lot more.
