@gifford38: Yeah, the games will look great on the next-gen consoles. The hardware is actually pretty good this time unlike current-gen which was shit from the beginning.
yeah but imagine next gen games running on the 3080. those games are going to look awesome.
The biggest thing for me is performance. I buy high end hardware so that games look and run awesome. Having a game look awesome, but run at 30fps is unacceptable.
Essential Fellini. Though, I'll cancel it if B&N has it for less during their November sale. I'm predicting the included Nights of Cabiria will look slightly worse than my 2020 UK StudioCanal disc, because of Criterion's tendency to put too much video on one disc.

My order is 183. I'm told that by Barnes and Noble trends, they'll have it for 125 during their November sale, when it comes out.
I don't like Xbox. Never did. I'm not excited for next gen in general. The AAA publishers don't like creativity and uniqueness.
I planned on pre-ordering a ps5 as well as the Series S but missed it completely so will pick one up next year. There's nothing upcoming outside of the systems I want to play on current gen hardware.
