what do you think about the 360's exclusive lineup in 2011?

are you content with all the multiplats coming out or you're gonna buy Kinect to be able to enjoy some of the games announced at TGS?

I've been hoping for new Ip's or certain exclusive games to come out for 2 years now, but I don't see any of that happening. Kinect may be a big seller, but I've been feeling like Microsoft doesn't care about their core audience anymore. They don't deliver, yet they hike up the price of the xbox live subscription. I don't get that, my only guess is that halo fans don't mind about paying even more as long as they get to play Reach online.

the Ps3 is providing a stiff competition with the fair lineup they're releasing next year, and you'd expect Ms to step up in the exclusive department in order to "answer" with their own exclusive lineup, but no, they know they just need Kinect to probably sell more than the Ps3.

Well the lineup is Gears 3, Kinect games, and possibly that Crytek game. They could do better, but oh well. It's not like I won't have anything to play.

I really want a ps3, not interested in gears 3 and thats all it really has atm.

And really, Forza 3 was already known back at E3 2008.

I'll have multiplats from both 360/PS3 & 360/PC, but I'm disappointed in the lack of exclusives, Gears 3 being the only one that really interests me. I'm not necessarily interested in the PS3 exclusives either though. The ICO/SotC collection & Last Guardian are probably my most hyped PS3 titles & that's one new game & two remastered PS2 titles.

It sure doesn't look too good right now...

I play my 360 as much as possible (Gamerscore in Sig), but I avoid multiplats on it to save from RROD/E74...unless the multi is better, like Bayonetta.

I Wanted GeoW3 so BADLY this November, then in April, but I guess we will be happy in 2011. I bet by Xmas 2012, we will all be playing a new Xbox, lol.

I've had a ps3 since launch and have always had games to play. "No games" is an internet meme, not a factual statement. They launched with Resistance 1, and that was a very impressive launch title. Not really my kind of game, but it was very solid. The first two years the main problem was 3rd party support wasn't great, and the ports were sloppy, it was really the exclusives that ps3 owners had to look forward to.

Besides, regardless of weather you play the PS or 360 odds are you rely mostly on multiplats. After all, significantly outnumbers exclusives.vashkey

Not always true. I've found most of the games I've really loved this gen were exclusives. Of course, Sony's 1st party is great, so they make great games. Still, 3rd party titles this gen haven't been impressing me, as they tend to play it safe, which leads to boredom with their games. There's been exceptions for sure, on both sides of that statement, but I really dig the exclusives more than multi plats this gen.

however if on is to go by rumours and draw conclusions then there should be no worries about the 360's line up.

Winghut interactive stated they've been working on a new IP back before July 09 when Halo Chronicles was put on hold. That mean in july 2011 the game dev cycle would be more than 2 years that means the game has a good chance at comming out 2011.

Firebird studio, you know the one lemmings are relying on for a GK that can beat everything on consoles just because it has a dedicated graphics department, started an unanounced project back in march 09 meaning that by septamber the game dev cycle would be well over 2 years. Thier game has a very good chance at seeing the light of retail in 2011.

Then you have Turn 10 whom are rumoured (nearly confirmed actually) to be working on PGR5 since 08 (probably a small team from the main workforce) 3 years is enough to make a good racing game right? PGR5 has a pretty good chance as well.

You also got Silcone knights, whom confirmed they're working on Too human 2 MS signed an exclusivity deal for the trilogy so it probably is going to be an exclusive.They also stated that thier next project was going to take them 30-36 months that puts in down for a 2011 release.

Then you have Rare who've recently hinted at a BK4 (however the hint also implies that it'll have kinect support so IDK if it'd go under the label of "kinect games")

lastly OXM dropped a hint, PD2 for fall 2011.

Oh, and Forza 4 might see the light at 2011 (however I think MS should push it to spring just to give PGR5 some breathing space)

This is before counting kinect, Gears 3, and kingdoms. I don't know how many are comming but I am pretty sure about a few of them:

Firebird and Wingnut's games, and I am pretty optomistic about a PGR5 for 2011.

I'm also pretty sure we'll see a PD2 I mean team PD at Rare hasn't annonunced anything. strange though, team BK is working on kinect sports if BK4 is comming out could that mean that kameo team is working on it? and how about that fourth team, team conker crosses fingers for a suprise annoncement.

If 360 is your only console then you'll be fine with multiplats. Exclusives matter when you have two or more consoles.

I try not to think about it. I have a hard enough time playing all the games that are out now that interest me.

The first couple of quarters are looking quite vacant at the moment since Gears was moved back to fall. Right about now would be the time to announce what they've got to refill that slot. I don't know if they've got an X10 planned? Or any other event where it would be suitable to announce their spring lineup?

There aren't really any major events left this year. Maybe the SPIKE VGAs I guess, but if they were no show at E3, GamesCom and Tokyo Game Show...

And how often are games announced and released within the span of a few months?

sucks.M$ should pay more attention to exclusives.360 lacks exclusives.M$ should bring us some good looking exclusive which can compete with titles like god of war and uncharted.but M$ just cares about kinect.

unannounced exclusves are...games in your imagination. MS doesn't announce games, so they never have to worry about delivering them.

and accoring to lemmings self proclaimed "no games" theory of PS3 in 2007, multiplats and exclusives scoring lower than AAA don't exist.

falling back on old prehistoric arguments doesn't help you any. It's 2010, the time for hyping farytaile games is over, yet 360 fans are the only ones still hyping imaginary games.

There was alot of speculation by all factions when every the consoles first arrived on the merket, but your attempts to bring up these old comments from the begining of the gen and pass them off as some kind of counter blow to the arguments being made NOW seems a bit desperate.

War Devil was finally canned a while ago and the studio shut down. They appear to have had no clue whatsoever what they were doing.

Codename Kingdoms could possibly see a 2011 release, I don't know for how long that has been in development. Although my gut feeling after the E3 CGI teaser is that it's not long enough for a 2011 release to happen. I think Forza 4 would be more likely to be released next year. That is if PGR doesn't take that spot.

I didn't know XCOM was exclusive. Had always assumed it was PC/360 as per usual. Oh it is.
I don't know what to think of that game. It looks weird. Hopefully it'll be weird in a good way.

Why don't exclusives matter when you have 1 console? This doesn't make sense.

I actually don't enjoy a game any less knowing it is a multiplat :o weird huh? I can't say MS release calender for next year is high on my priorities either to be honest, it doesn't look too impressive if you only list exclusives but I can always fall back onto another system if things get too dry :?.

And no I won't buy Kinect :P the only game I liked the look of sounds like it doesn't work too well with it anyway...
