Sony Santa Monica, Naughty Dog and Sony Bend are likely "doing something" too.

What people are largely discussing now is that announcements haven't been made at E3, GamesCom and TGS, with the exception of Kinect games (and two PC games at GamesCom.)

Gears of War 3 won't be released until September. Even assuming Forza 4 releases next year, the big question mark is what else have Microsoft got?

Games generally aren't announced and released in the space of a few months, not big triple-A budget games anyway. The only place I can see remaining for a game announcement would be at the Spike VGAs.

They've got whatever their development studios are working on. They view Kinect as the launch of a new platform, bigger than the launch of the 360 apparently. And the marketing effort first began at E3.

It's possible for it to come out in 2011, but it's not that likely. The TBA date DOES say 2011 fyi.

Right now the 360's exclusive lineup is looking slim. I think Gears 3 is the only big AAA title known as of now, which I'm highly anticipating. Other than that, there's some Kinect games that we don't know much about (and that I'm not interested in at this point).

Turn 10 said that their "next big thing" (concerning Forza) is releasing in 2011. I'm not really sim racing fan, and this will be the 3rd installment this gen. I'll still be playing GT5, which is all I want / need.

Loads of games I want to play on it, so no.

It looks poor right now. I won't judge them until E3, but I will say that they need to get back on track in a big way now that their Halo safety net is gone.

Sadly I think it might be too late for them to get their first party into shape.

They may have unannounced games, though I think they should announce them to give their user base something to look forward to. Sony's been kicking *** all gen as far as exclusives go, that isn't likely to change as they've always had a strong first party comparable to that of Nintendo. MS seems to still be trying to find out what works for them.

Whoa. I was being generous to Nintendo by saying that Sony was comparable to them. Sony has been delivering new IPs and awesome sequels all gen, Nintendo is the one that's only recently got its act together.

Also, Nintendo hasn't been impressing me with their reliance on old staples. They really need some new blood in their library.

Can someone tell me what 360 game(s) were released within the same year they were announced? I don't doubt that any exist, I just can't think of any now.

The only other first party offering I can see being announced for 2011 right now is something from Rare and they've been put onto Kinect it seems.

Sony announced Uncharted 2 in October 2008's Game Informer - with the first trailer at the Spike VGAs that year iirc - so maybe they have a Naughty Dog surprise for us.
