What do you think is a Halo killer

Does it need to have a bigger fan base? And be a FPS? Or does it need to create a bigger public reaction? Or score better? Or maybe sell better? Or be more actively discussed about? More hype prior to launch? It seems people use the term Halo killer, and they don't even know what it is. So what is it?

Halo killer? For me every single fps out there Seriously how can a game be a halo killer? Its like saying Half life 2 killer....any contestors for that?

cs and tf2 killed halo a while ago, my friends and i used to play halo at lans, but there is no way it twill ever get as fun as cs or tf2.
