Yeah, 9 years here in NA, but actually 10 years when you count the Japanese launch in fall of '98.

Sad to see it's demise in March 2001. So much potential for Sega to redeem themselves after the Saturn debacle.

I used to play it at my friends house, some good memories

Only played like 2 games on it, seems pretty good

Dreamcast > PS2 Xbox and GC

as much as everyone says how great it was, it was a complete failure. It had some great games. I for one loved Sonic. but it was realeased horribly and got caught in between gens almost. Not PS and n64, not quite last gen. Shame, a dreamcast 2 could've seen a lot of innovation.MunkeySpunk92

Sega discontinued the dreamcast after TWO years of bad sales. yes it was ahead of it's time. but it all came down to bad timing. no need to be defensive. that dreamcast swirl tattoo on your chest will still look cool.

Had more potential than anything on the market. Truly a gret console, but its life was cut short. :( A sad day for gamers everywhere.BioShockOwnz
