What do you think the most underrated game this gen is

Ofcouse the guy who reviewed this was canned and later complained about how you have to pick up ammo in Uncharted 2

Stalker series and uncharted 1 come to mind.

meh. it was not that great. it look pretty nice but was not that fun to play. i stopped play about halfway through and never went back.

The first Uncharted, as it really felt like the first "next gen" game of this generation, at least that I played.

The Motorstorm games are also pretty underrated imo. Without question these are my favorite racers to come out on consoles since GT1&2. They remind me of the challenge that snes/genesis games supplied.

Not underrated by critics I don't think, but Halo 3 gets bashed far too often. The game is actually really good. Tried and true, a rehash if you call, but the coop campaign is still the best out there imo.

I want to buy Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, someone please tell me it is underrated. I hear mixed things about it, but I miss these types of "set up" shooters.

I think Mass Effect 1 should have had a 9.0. Also Halo Wars was easly an A game at least

Yeah, I got bored of Tools of Destruction about half way through.

For me, the most underrated game of this gen is Wipeout HD - fantastic game and already an established franchise, but because it was initially released as a digital download only nobody picked it up.

a 7.5 rating for a game that is near-perfect is laughable. one of the complaints in the review was the price point of 800 ms points, which looks hilarious now. for 800 points, this game has more meaningful content than most 60 games. the gameplay is so refined and all the alternative modes are fun. this is one of the best local multiplayer games ever produced.

has a metacritic avg of 69

I think Halo Wars deserved a better reception than it got. Its probably the best example of a console RTS using a controller.

It still sold quite a bit obviously, but that was really only down to the Halo name.

Shame Ensemble were shut though. Anyone know if this was a direct result of Halo Wars not doing incredibly well critically?

Littlebigplanet, not in terms of review scores but in the way a lot of people and nearly all of my friends are too ignorant to see past the looks and main story of it and call it rubbish and childish without even taking time themselves to pick it up, take same time to create a level and check out the online and community aspects of it. but games that are overrated... i can name many

Wii Sports.

I think people would give it more respect as a game if it hadn't been a free game in most places. It is a much better game than it gets credit for being, and it has done more to sell the Wii than any other title.

Tools of Destruction sucked. They should have knocked off more points. Crack in Time was more fun. jg4xchamp

there are some amazing levels online that i had a great time playing. sure there's a bunch of ****ty ones but that's to be expected. to call it a "piece of trash" seems a bit ignorant.

Heavenly Sword, Uncharted1, R&C future tools of destruction, Warhawk & Folklore come to mind... basically all PS3's 2007 exclusives were underrated in here...

I agree, other then Heavenly Sword, the combat was just annoying to me... STOP BLOCKING!!!! lmao!

I was sceptical about Folklore but when you give it a chance and you get past the beginning confusion it turns into a interesting journey.. I almost hit myself in the face playing that game though :P

R&C no doubt most shafted game here.

I wouldn't call it trash, but I couldn't get into it myself, either. The level creation is interesting. I'm glad they went that route, and while I never bought LBP, the second one looks great. My main problem with it is that the platforming itself is just, I don't know, infantile?

Condemned: Criminal Origins. I didn't touch another 360 launch game until I finished my 3rd playthrough.

A game that gets alot of undeserved hate is alpha protocol. THe game is very good imo. Its just some tec issues and polish it lacks. I also like folklore alot. Its a very pretty game and fun to boot.
