Who cares? The games are fun...Ganon_919Who cares? Not Nintendo, they make lots of money, to a business, thats all that counts. M$ and $ony go the hi-tech way, thinking thats what the market wants. Nintendo don't. In the end all each company is concerned about is profit and market share.
Who cares? The games are fun...Ganon_919Really? I was abhorishly bored by the extravagant button that didn't change anything.

lol, you actually think that nintendo is going to continue this low graphics thing?, That was a strategic desicion made by nintendo so that they didn't lose money on the wii if it failed since it was a huge risk in the first place.

So Nintendo just goes around pulling strings with it's cusomters hearts. Here this gen we're gonna give you crappy graphics. Next Gen it's graphical powerhouse. Guess what Ninty says it what the sheep will listen to.

I was thinking more along the lines of Nintendo attempting to create a system that could sell at a low price and still be fun...

Yes I know.....I made a thread about the Wii being Nintendo's last ditch effort in the console industry about a month or two ago. Nintendo made an inferior console out of necessity, and (i'm sure to their surprise) enough people are eating it up.

not entirely true, they could have made a powerful console, they strageically chose not to. They were not going bankrupt or anything, they were actually making a huge profit off of the gamecube even at the price drop of $99. Not to mention their handheld sectors. but yes, they needed to something different to dominate the console sector.

It is simple. Fun is subjective. you can't tell someone, "That would be less fun" because some people might enjoy a standard interface. I didn't know a majority opinon = fact. Its still a subjective opinion that you can not prove to be a universal truth. Some people might prefer a standard controller.I've been worried that since companies love to copy each other, that if the Wii gains a significant market share, the next round of consoles will be following suit. If the main goal of console developers becomes price point and not hardware power, it could lead to not-that-much-more-powerful-but-cheap round of consoles next gen.
I'd hate to think that we're going to be missing out on better graphics and smarter AI in the next round just because eveyone wants to mimic Nintendo's success.

yeah, thats much more fun.......... have you ever played the game? i'd give you a freaking medal of solid gold if you could finish the game with standard analog, without the game being altered.
you obviously just don't GET the Wii. so whatever, go play PoS3. it must be lonely.

Double defterea would be impossible with a standard controller, the you only level you'd complete with a standard controller would the tutorial. Some games need extravagant buttons to be fun, some just plain need them. And the Wii-mote is capable of being more than extravagant button.

Well you know Sony and Nintendo could come up with their own innovative ideas like Nintendo to make their new systems a run away success. They don't HAVE TO COPY
