What does Wii have that xbox/ps3 dont have that'll allow them to finish 1st ?

No... I'm saying Gamecube got annihilated by PS2 even though it was cheaper. So price isn't the main factor in Wii's success.

the wii was made for everyone to enjoy!!!!! from kids to adults, nintendo has made games like wii sports for everyone to enjoy. there are reports that most senior citizens enjoy and play wii bowling as their favorite thing to do!!! the wii controller was designed so that everyone can play!!! Nintendo still makes great games!!! Mario, Zelda, Pokemon and more!!!!! the wii is popular, its still selling!!!! everyone is curious and interested!!!!

the 360 and ps3 are more powerful!!!! the 360 and ps3 have better graphics for more realistic games. they both have more memory. but, they are not selling enough!!! the wii isnt' powerful nor does it have a hard drive, but its waaayyyyyy different from the 360 and ps3. the wii is innovative with the way games are meant to play and its working. the wii is popular right now and that is what keeps them on top!!!!

Could it possibly be because there are a different variety of games available on the Wii than on the other 2 systems, that just possibly might appeal to some people? Where are games like SPM, SMG, Z&W, TC, Elebits, or even WW on the other systems? Even Zelda only has Kameo as a close comparison.

I know a lot of people on here complain about the "Nintendo rehash", but it's not even so much about the characters (although they help a lot) Name me platformers on PS3 and 360 to match SMG and SPM (and no I don't accept Banjo 3 since we have no earthly idea when it comes out), name puzzle games that match Z&W and Elebits, or any games that compare to TC and WW on either system. I know that in the greater meaning of the word, there are "better" games out there than some of these, but it still stands, that if I want the gaming experience that they offer, I'm better off looking at the Wii.

It isn't trying to be a gaming PC.

Yes the Wii does have alot of shovelware, it's old news. It's a console that has casual appeal, just like the PS2, and both have alot of crap.

The thing is there's good games out on the Wii and people just ignore it and go "shovelware lolz". It's called being an ignorant fanboy.

I could easily pick out the worst games of each console and say the whole lineup is bad. But that's just stupid.

I think its not so much that the Wii is cheap, its that the PS3 and 360 were too expensive at launch.

And packing in a game with the system was genius. And when you pack in a game, you include a game that appeals to your largest audience. What really moved GameBoys was including Tetris. Something easy to play and fun.

For those that think the cost of PS3's and 360's is not too expensive, then why don't all the 'hardcore' PS2 owners and Xbox owners snap up the PS3's and 360's? The way it looks now, past owners of PS2s and xboxs dont want the newer systems...

For the people who are saying it sells well because it's cheap. No. I cheapness sells, then why didnt the GC come out on top last generation? Also why isnt the Xbox core pack selling? It only costs thirty dollars/euros more.

The reason why I think the Wii is selling great now and will sell great in the future is because it is far more accesable than the 360 and PS3.

Basically, you can roughly divide people into three groups:

Hardcore (Hardcore is ofcourse a very hard term to define. But in my opinion a hardcore gamer is someone who invests quite some time in gaming and stuff revolving around gaming. While not just looking at the games that receive a lot of hype and media attention.)

Casual (Again a hard to define term. Though I guess you could say a casual gamer is a person who plays games while not looking to far into everything around gaming.

Non gamer (Easy to define. Someone who never or very rarely plays games. With the exclusion of solitaire and minesweeper.)

I think Nintendo managed to appeal to all of these groups with the Wii. Whereas the PS3 and 360 only have appeal for the first to.

well,the price accessibility is an edge, but ithink the coolest feature of the wii is the controllers.

picture a wii with regular pads, i wouldnt buy it, would you? and scince sony and M$ are so clever why dont they come up with motion sensing pads for their systems too and finish the wii off?
