arguing can be fun... so long as it doesn't become personal. also considering all the BS that comes out of SW I occassionally get some bonafide facts out of it.

There are good things to come out of all the arguing and lulz.

Sometimes people here actually talk about games in a civilized manner and get along :o Of course, some would argue they'e doing SW WRONG.

Seriously, most of it comes from misguided opinions. Either believing they are facts, conclusive, or overall stupid.

I have thought about this a great deal and one of the biggest factors for me as to why we'll never get along is...

Gaming Habits... and differing perception

Yup, gamers experience the hobby on many different levels of time invested, leading them to make decisions and choices on what and who to support. Gamers who game 30+ hours a week most likely have every console and every exclusive and because they relate to video games through their own narrow eyes they cant imagine how or why another gamer views the hobby the way they do... on the other hand...

Gamers who game a few hours a week, own one platform, maybe two and who are very much in to the culture of gaming but dont "hardcore" game tend to have different outlooks on which products are best and why their decisions and choices are justified... again, they percieve gaming through their narrow eyes and have difficulty sharing the same understanding as someone who games many many more hours a week.

For example, how many games does a platform need to have this holiday season? some people need more than a dozen while other need two or three...

what does, "your console has no games" actually mean when I've been gaming non stop with new material in my tray since the day i bought my console...?

The problem in system wars is that some gamers are from Jupiter and others are from Mercury and we dont speak the same language and have the same understanding as to what is good TO US! the manufactures and the publishers etc are simply the instruments of war.

I'm going to say for most people it's handily a combination of hype and trying to justify their own purchase.

But I'm also guessing a lot of people come onto SW because it's the only place to have a decent discussion. I mean, have you seen the other forums? The system specific ones are absolutely inane.

What can I say, I like to argue.

Its the fact that most people can only afford/ justify owning one console and have to make a choice. They then need to reassure themselves they have made the right choice. This often presents itself in the madness that is system wars

Kanye West and Call of Duty.

I get quite a few laughs out of the fanboys here every once in a while.

I put Ego boost. BUT I guess what drives me in SW is im in a losing fight to get ALL gamers to be equaly happy and quit putting down everyone for their choices. If I see someone raggin on a platform I go after their platform of choice. Most people here will think I hate PCgaming..I dont..I hate snot nosed gear heads that look down on console gamers acting like we have zero clue about anything to do with gaming...Then if someone is jumping on NIN..i attack them too..same for all platforms..

I'll never with the war to bring everyone together and close down SW but I try...one TOSV at a time..

We all have something to hate on, or otherwise be skeptical about.

I usually go on here to look for topics where I can emphasize that PC gaming needs a hero in order for it to survive in the long run.

I come here to post news, read news and read up some lulz.

Oh and recently, increase awareness of games I feel dont get the sales the deserve.
