What FPS does the 360 have to counter Resistance 2?

Left 4 Dead this year and Bioshock 2 next year. I doubt either game will be as good as Resistance 2, but we'll see.

The 360 does have good games in 08, but none of them is a system seller, while the PS3 has already released MGS4, which is already driving up PS3 sales a lot. The 360 has no First-person shooter lined up this year and its going against resistance 2 and also killzone 2(which released next year). According to whom? None of the other MGS games were systems sellers. MS wants the 360 to be more than a FPS console, which is why the most anticipated titles are not FPS. Resistance and KZ will never have the hype of Halo.

No system sellers? I am seriously on the edge of buying a 360 because of Banjo. And not only because it's banjo, but because the concept of the game design is something that I am VERY interested in. organic_machine

the 360 doesnt need a game, it already has one, its called halo 3, and its going to be a hell of a long time till a console fps beats it.

Halo 3 will cover the FPS on 360 for a long time and speaking of Halo - ahem - Bungie has yet to be heard from but soon all shall become informed on what they are working on. :D

No. Bioshock is not better than System Shock 2.

Gears of War 2 will absolutely pown Resistance.

Now, R2 is going to be amazing though, the online especially. but the hype machince for Gears will be like Halo Jr.

It seems to me that the 360 is moving beyond FPS at this point to more effectively explore other genres.

And all it needs is Gears to counter Resistance 2. It doesn't matter if it isn't an FPS, it comes out at rough the same time and thus offers a competitive product. More than competitive actually as Gears 2 will most likely beat Resistance in sales.

Halo 3 and the better version of the Orange Box are above and beyond anything that is out or coming out for the PS3

Resistance is nothing comparing imo

360 really doesnt need any more shooters at the moment. Halo 3 gets plenty of play and will continue to get until gears comes out and then soon after gears traffic dies down, halo 3 will pick back up. I love Halo and Gears and cant wait for Gears 2.

However, right now, I'm looking for much more than FPS's. I'm looking forward to Soul Calibur 4, SW force unleashed, Fable, and Midnight Club 4. Sometimes you just get tired of shooting stuff, but Gears 2 wil come just in time.
