What franchise(s) are you a complete fanboy/fangirl about?

There's games I enjoy, but the ones I'm a fanboy of have a special place in my heart. I follow them and am pretty much fascinated by them lol. Franchises that come to mind are Metal Gear Solid and Bayonetta and pretty much games by Platinum lol. I also like certain JRPG's like Final Fantasy and Persona.

It was Mass Effect, but 3 started to turn me away and Andromeda made me loose all interest in the franchise.

The only game I buy every version of without fail is Football Manager so I guess Im fanboy of that

Tekken - I have every single Tekken game except Tekken Tag 2 (Tekken, Tekken 2, Tekken 3, Tekken Tag, Tekken 4, Tekken 5, Tekken: DR, Tekken 6, Tekken 7) I don't think I can say the same for any other franchise costing of more than 5 games, for more than 25 years history.

Then there's Metal Gear. Metal Gear Solid 4 - best game ever made, Metal Gear Solid V gets a top 5 spot, 1, 2 & 3 all belong in top 20 somehwere.

Battlefield for me. Haven't spent as much time on any other franchise, going back to the original 1942 on PC.

I'm a fanboy, because I dont get the excessive hatred towards 5...I'm wondering if anyone would even notice the ttk changes if they weren't announced (I can't tell the difference, I shoot...they die) and i thought the massive reaction towards the launch was overblown.

It still has the best gunplay in any game alongside destiny 2, and new content is being added at the right pace now....but as I said, I'm a fanboy.

And I'd still be more critical of it than any of you idiots. The difference would be my reasons would be logical and well thought it, y'alls would be slobs.

I dont think i have one to be honest. There is no franchise where i just blindly go "Yeah i'm having that" and then think "This is amazing. it sets the new standard. everything else is inferior".

I mean my top 5 games of all time (at the moment....could change at any moment :P) are:

Deus ex 1, Metroid prime, FF7, Rome Total war and Breath of the wild.

But all those franchises have duds (I was thinking Prime had no duds, then i remembered federation force...i didn't even bother getting it :S).

Fromsoft as a whole. Capcom as of late too. If the future Resident Evil games are as good as RE2R and most likely RE3R, i'll be the biggest RE fanboy there is. I hope there's no more "mistakes" in the RE series. I hope there's no more RE7's.

No franchise as a whole, but I'll be all over an individual game. Even then, not sure if fanboy is the right word, will still go hard on a game I like.

Like for a while, was considered the resident MGS fanboy of this board (understandable). Though in reality, I see it like this.

MGS1 - It's aight. More nostalgia than anything else.

MGS2 - Love it, but it has issues.

MGS3 - Love it, but it has tons of issues.

Portable Ops - Shit.

MGS4 - Gross.

Peace Walker - Fun enough, it's aight.

MGSV - Love the gameplay, mechanics and (bases) level design are slick. Rest of it sucks.

Absolutely none. I love and hate games purely on what they offer.

3D Mario games, Halo, Bioshock, whatever Platinum is making, anything made by Playdead, Forza etc.

And of course Half-Life and Portal, but I doubt we'll be getting any non-VR releases of them anymore ☹

None, but my closest would probably be the Souls/Borne, Mario, and Zelda games.

Might be an unpopular choice for many but gears. Love the series and even found judgement ok.
