What game did hype drop off the most during this years e3?

For me it's easy.

Zelda Skyward Sword= Nintendo had talks of reinventing the series and I was once excited for another Zelda. What do we get? A zelda that looks and plays very similiar with waggle control tagged on.

Zelda in past e3's almost always stole the show. This new Zelda looked mediocre and barely cracked the top 10 in a lot of editors opinions for best games of e3.

I would sort of agree with Zelda but in the end, I know it will be a quality title so it doesn't bother me anymore.:)

... I'd go with Twisted Metal.. I don't know why it's just I don't feel the game..:?

Gears doesn't come out until next year. Zelda gets hyped because its Zelda (and well deserved). Reach is out September. KZ3 gets hyped because it's the only great shooter exclusive on the PS3.

Gears 3 will be hyped come late this year at the earlier, but definitely early next year. I'm a massive Gears fan, but with upcoming games, especially Reach, I'm not really thinking about it this early on. As for the topic, Kinect. I always hated it, but now it seems to be universally hated here, where as pre-E3 many thought it would be awesome.

Well, I haven't seen any Zelda title that looks quite like Skyward Sword. In fact, I can't think of any video game at the top of my head that is heavily influenced by Impressionism. Also, the control is most certainly not waggle. Have you played any titles that use Motion Plus such as Red Steel 2? It's a big step up over the waggle featured in Twilight Princess.

Although Skyward Sword didn't place an impact on me as much as I would have liked, it is still one of my most anticipated titles on the Wii. For me, I lost what little interest I had in Kinect and it's Wii ____ knockoffs after seeing Microsoft's E3 conference. I had hopes that it would be a revolutionary product, but I did not get that vibe when watching the Kinect presentation.

i mean when it's a no-show then there's not much to talk about, but it really seemed to be one of the most anticipated games of E3

imo it's still going to shred Rage on PC, but as far as console graphics go the talk about it completely disappeared during E3 and i haven't seen the kind of influx of Crysis threads post-E3 than prior

I agree with Zelda, I was expecting some awesome looking game because everyone here said that was all Nintendo needed to win (which wasn't true I don't think).

I agree with Zelda, actually. Though I think Nintendos statement about reinventing the series was more along the lines of its structure, than control mechanism. We all sort of knew it was going to work like the Sports Plus game. The E3 demo surely made the wait a lot more barable though.

After Kinect impressing at E3 09, I'm going to say this thing is turning out to be the most disappointing addition in the HISTORY of gaming. Not even ONE in-depth game is shown on a device that was debuted a YEAR earlier, and is coming out for the holidays? That's like nintendo announcing a new system and telling its fans, before it comes out, "Hey guys, this is our new system. You should buy it, but we aren't going to release any Mario or Zelda games."

Although I've bashed motion controls a ton in the past, I really wanted to watch the E3 conferences with an open mind and maybe try to accept the shift into motion controls. I was even a tad ecited to see what MS/Sony had in store for us.

After E3 I don't think I'll ever get motion controls unless the prices are severely dropped and they implement it more into games that appeal to me

1) Skyward Sword isn't Waggle play. If you saw (not Myamoto's demo) but Show Floor footage, the Game is anything but waggle unlike Twilight Princess.

2) I agree that Twisted Metal kinda fell since It was so sudden and there's not even a Release Date for it.

3) I also agree that Skyward Sword's hype dropped but that too is because of no Release Date.

4) Gears 3 shares the same fate.

5) Poor Donkey Kong Country Returns.....It has no love. :(

almost everything at and about E3 this year was disappointing, even from Zelda, Metroid Other M was the only Wii exclusive I had hopes for, and nothing about Halo Reach made me feel any better after the disappointing Beta, and nothing in the PS3 line-up interests me as well, there was no new Last Guardian trailerand gameplaywhich was a bummer

I guess the crown goes to kinect since I was about to sleep when I was watching it during E3.

I like how all Skyward Sword criticism is based off of obviously incomplete information.

Anyway, mine was probably Other M. I haven't been interested for a while now, honestly.

Anything anyone thought would be there for Kinect.

The gameplay looks like typical Zelda. As far as the artstyle goes, yeah that's diffrernt. But I fail to see what's so radically different between SS and other Zelda games.

Kinect, I was hoping that there would be atleast one awesome looking hardcore game on it.

Crysis 2 for me.

LBP2 is a GotY contender and has next to no hype after E3.
