What Game Made You Lose Faith in the Franchise?

Dragon age inquisition , skyrim,jak 2 and 3,bioshock infinite, and also 2,ff8-13,fable, banjo nuts and bolt, perfect dark 0, dead space 2 and 3, luigi mansion dark moon, all of the mario sports game in recent year, sonic all except old ones, fallout, diablo 3, unreal tournament 4, injustice and mortal combat because ed boon suck and the games are boring,harvest moon 3ds,persona 3and 4 and soon to be 5 chibi robot come on nintendo I want the good ones not cheap crap like the 3ds one, custom robots because ds one was crap and I want a good one for wii u, Mario and luigi dream team because first one is the best and the others don't come close, Kirby deluxe , paper mario sticker star, amazing Spider-Man games and many many more.

Final Fantasy XIII. Horrible. Just killed my passion for the franchise in general.

I felt the same way despite having played all three games on time.

I thought ME1 was very good, I thought ME2 was badly structured but epic, and I had to force myself to finish ME3 because I couldn't stand how cheesy, ridiculously melodramatic, terribly paced and structured and written it was. It felt like they took texts written from autistic fourth graders about what Star Wars and Beautiful have in common and stitched them together trying to somehow make it adhere to the same world ME1 and ME2 were set in. Personally, despite having replayed ME1 and ME2 plenty of times before 3 came out, I just can't bring myself to even download the games again because the third game butchered everything the first two set out to do. The ending was just the cherry on top of the pile of shit it was.

Other than that, there are Dragon Age 2, Crysis 2 and Unreal Tournament 3, although I'd say those made me lose faith in the companies behind them rather than just the franchises.

RE5..but to be fair, topping RE4 was just damn near impossible. RE5 stunk bad though~

I would have to say Battlefield 4. Been playing Battlefield since BF2 on pc and I'm going to have to say that BF4 has made me very cautious. I won't be pre ordering this time for Hardline and I'm waiting on the reviews. Madden because it's just a roster update every year. Then about every 2 to 3 years they do something good with the game. Really tired of developers trying to push garbage down our throats. I'm highly cautious as opposed to 5 years ago. Ain't nobody got time for garbage.

FF13 was probably the biggest disappointment ever.

None, really. There are franchises with ups and downs, but i haven't lost faith in them.

I like the Sonic franchise for example, and despite its downward spiral into Hell it still managed to claw its way back into the light with Colors and Generations. Sure, Sonic slipped with Lost World and fell back into Hell thanks to Boom, but if they managed two good titles before, who's to say the developers won't hit the right mark again?

The latest 343 Halos. Any chance of buying into the franchise got demolished once the series took a turn for the worse.

Thief Reboot. At this point I'm pretty sure that we won't see anything like originals ever again. Big publishers are too focused to target wider audience. They are not willing to spend less to make a game for a niche market. Instead they are more interested in spending more and earning more in return.

Crysis 2 - Killed the charm of the franchise.

I'm still hopeful for Hitman but it seems like Absolution was the beginning of the end.

COD- Modern Warfare 2,,, Garbage. I gave the series another try with Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops but after that I was done with the series.

Destiny.
