I spent $350 on a Xbox 360 and Dead Rising. I've played it at least 10 times from start to finish and still have strong urges to keep playing. Every time I've played it has been a different experience. Fantastic game that is severely underrated. Sure, its hard, but that's what makes it fun. Surviving the zombie apocalypse isn't supposed to be a cakewalk.
I'm hearing some praise for warhawk. How's is it? I didn't like R2 online, and I've played the crap out of CoD4. Are there a bunch of expansions they nickel and dime you for?
Anyway, on topic: Halo 3 when I had an xbox, Medieval 2 Total War, and CoD 4.
i can't deny Oblivion, even though by fall 08 i got sick if i tried to play it, but gtaIV 2nd, fallout 3 3rd, the latest 2 CoD's are getting there though (had 4 when it was still kinda new but at that time i didn't have internet and it helped fetch gtaIV =] )
I've put in massive hours on both Burnout Paradise and Midnight Club LA. This place low-balled Midnight Club LA big-time in the games review. Their main point of contention was the games extreme difficulty.:lol: Wusses!!
When were the last expansions released for Civ 4 or MTW2? Cos I still play those games almost every week. Aside from those it would Football manager - I know it has new incarnations every year, but sink 100's of hours into each one - and Sins. On the 360 it would be Fallout 3 and Halo 3

Since fall 2005, I've spent a combined total of $50 on Guild Wars Campaigns/expansions/bonus packs, and have logged over 1000 hours on it. Best value ever!
