What game will disappoint this year?

It was bro. So much fun when you get a crew of 4 that are all on mic, all willing to put the ship first. Great time.

Like I said last month, if you don't like communicating, laughing, pulling your weight in a team atmosphere then Sea of Thieves wont be for those people. Maybe its growing up playing team sports but I love this kind of necessary team work and looking forward to another test.

Zelda: BoTW and NieR: Automata are my favorite games this gen and both released/are releasing in the same month in NA.

Sea of Thieves looks like it's going to be the final nail in the coffin for Rare. Servers will shut down after a few months and Rare will be closed.

All I read is how shit Sea of thieves, Crackdown 3, basically anything Xbox is on this forum. But here these games are being named to be disappointing? In order to disappoint the game has to be considered to be great to begin with. But reading this forum daily, none of these games are looked at that way. Cognitive dissonance to the 10th power.

@Eikichi-Onizuka: Should've got my wording right, more in the lines of "waiting for another year or so for something to come out" since the official trailer was released around 2015 but the guess it got out of it was "Now in Development" Maybe I'm just growing impatient.

I noticed you never mentioned any, are you one of those people who likes everything and doesn't have a negative opinion about any game?

I'm a fan of the ME games, and have played and enjoyed all the previous games in the series, i'm just not feeling it with Andromeda.

To me R* and it's games are overrated, i've tried many of it's games RDR, Bully, GTA, Midnight Club etc and have found them disappointing for the most part, so for me RDR2 will disappoint me.

GT is a shell of it's former self, and with Sony showing the game on the floor at E3 last year and not even putting it in it's presentation tells you all you need to know, well that and it went from a release date to nowhere to be seen.

Maybe i'm being a little harsh with Zelda, so i'll scratch that one of the list. Does that make you feel a litle bit happier there sunshine :)

Movie games are the worst in my opinion, i buy games to play them not to press a button here or there and watch endless cutscenes.

I'm looking forward to seeing Forza 7, Wildlands, Crackdown 3, F1 2017 among many others, so you can take your jaded BS and hit the road, oh and have a nice day :)

I really hope its good, but to me, it seems we haven't seen that much lately and being an MMO...ish? It just seems the player count playing matters and gamers today have a short attention span and it will fall quickly. No SP and online only isn't popular on any console. I hope I'm wrong,

But Zelda is the opposite of that, and that's why i actually like it more than The Witcher 3. It's actually a game.

Mass Effect will fall into there for sure. Just like it has done every time.

If there was something more disappointing than the cancelling of Scalebound, that must have been a pretty bad and overhyped game.

MEA will have more gameplay choice than any of the trilogy games, with their own type of exploration.

RDR 2 can be a broken beyond repair and plays worse than Ride to Hell: Retribution but it will still get 10/10 across the board because of Rockstar label. My money is on Andromeda for being the biggest disappointment.

the call of duty will not dissapoint because everyone excepting it to be crap. its not 2009 anymore when people were excited about COD games.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it. Squadron 42 will be a disappointing if it's not release at the end of this year :(

Well if that's the case, I can wait for it but in the mean time, I got lots of other games to be playing this year and beyond :)

@i_p_daily: I did mention one. I made my post earlier, and unlike yours didn't pretty much mention all the games coming out this year. It's a bit of a pointless question if all you are going to do is answer any of the games which aren't your cup of tea to begin with.

You're free to do it, but it just makes you a miserable person who perhaps should go off and do something he enjoys instead.

Hopefully none of them! Games are practically in open development now it seems so I feel like we'd know if a game was going to bomb a decent amount before it's out. I have low expectations for the new Mario game, but Nintendo seems to have their head in the right place now so it's promising.

Did i not say i've played all previous ME games and liked them, so it is my cup of tea.

I tried RDR and felt bored while playing it, whereas i've played plenty of other open world games and enjoyed them, so again my cup of tea.

GT used to be awesome, but it's fallen on hard times recently, and i frigging love racing games more then any other genre, so again my cup of tea.

All those games are my cup of tea, but just because they are it doesn't mean i will like everyone of them.

If you like movie games then more power to you, but i think those type of games are shit, and i will critcize them any chance i get.

I've been gaming for 30yrs, so it is my hobby/passion no one does a hobby for 30yrs if they don't like it, so save the miserable crap for someone else there doc.

It would be Zelda for me. I hoped it would be a 100 on MC but it's only a measly 98, flop.

I think ME4 will disappoint. Call me bias, but Milkyway Galaxy > Andromeda Galaxy

mmmmmm not overly enthused about playing anything. Zelda has potential to disappoint because it's been an absolute blast to play, so if that game chokes the late game run that might sting. Uh.....I guess Prey? I have pretty high expectations for how that game will play, so that game has a chance to disappoint. Maybe Persona 5, but I thought the actual dungeon crawling of Persona 4 was nothing special, so if that trend continues I wouldn't exactly be surprised.

I doubt Prey will be a flop it's got to much going for it and what I've seen so far of the game it looks cool and different from all the other shooters out there.

Is Sea of Thieves going to be considered a flop when it scores 7/10?

I mean realistically no one probably expects it to do well anyways, so maybe that score will be successful for them.

I have a gut feeling that GT Sport is going to be a disappointment after the last 2 outings and the usual predictable delays.

I just don't know whats happened to GT, it's a mere shadow of its former self and there are now a lot of games that do things better.

The big game for me this year is PCARS 2, I loved the first one so I'm really hyped to see how the 2nd game is improved.

Hopefully not Mass Effect Andromeda and Red Dead Redemption 2. I have high expectations for those games.

@charizard1605: These 3 months, even if the rest of of the year turns out to be shit (which doesn't seem like it'll be the case), already make it better than most of 2016.

I think all big games on the horizon are all looking pretty good, so that's really hard to say. I've seen lots of hype for Nier Automata, and from what I've seen, it doesn't look that good to me.

GT Sports, from what I have played, it is horrible altough they could have updated alot in the meantime. But I have no faith in it.

Lol GT Sports.... Poly-Phony can't compete with the likes of Mighty Turn 10 / Playground Games combo....
