What games does the PS3 have coming out for Xmas?

You guys see what I am getting at? If I am spending money on a console this year and looking at the lineup of games MS has compared to Sony. Which system would you buy?

Hands down MS beats the PS3's line up. Sony better get in the game otherwise MS will kill them. Again I am not a fanboy, but I am damn glad I bought the 360 last year when Gears of War came out. I figured I would wait till this Xmas to buy a PS3 when the price came down, but they still have not put any GREAT games out worth me buying a PS3.

The 360 keeps pumping out games.. Bioshock,Halo3 and Mass Effect FTW.. Plus GTA4 and DMC4 are coming to the 360 same day as the PS3..Sony needs to give me a reason to buy a PS3

I just bought a 360 last Friday but my PS3 easily has more upside in games over the next 12 months.. You named past games. Personally asides from GEOW and Bioshock and a small maybe for MAss Effect ill be on the PS3's exclusives!!!

Of those UT3 and Assassins Creed will both be on the 360. Heavenly Sword looks good but I heard it was much too short of a game.

UT3 is keyboard and mouse enabled on ps3 (not available on 360) and you can play with PC gamers (not available on 360). I am really amped up about it. I dont care about killzone 2 as much as everyone else. I'll probably buy it but UT3 is the main game I have my eye on.

I dunno I just don't see any console sellers in the PS3 lineup.. Halo3 is a console seller garranteed. Plus all the great sony exclusives that were console sellers.. GTA4 and DMC4 will be on the 360.. I just kind of find it hard to justify buying a PS3 this Xmas.. When MS has the line up they have coming.

Tbh, although halo 3 will be a system seller, i personally think it has come out too early. With most of the Ps3 games being released closer to christmas, it makes me think that the PS3 will have more publicity and so have a better chance of dominating over christmas.

Not everyone will remember games from4 months ago when shopping for gifts, most will want something new.

And kojima is adamant that MGS4 will get nowhere near the 360 for the time being.

Then dont buy a ps3. Simple as that.

Oh I am not I was just throwing this topic up for debate to see if anyone else could sell me or anyone else that would be buying a console this year on some games the PS3 has coming out for Xmas.. It just doesn't look like a good year for Sony..

I think Halo3 will sell systems before Xmas and people that do not have one and thier friends do.. will be asking for one for Xmas.. I mean Halo 3 is the best Multiplayer game hands down..

From what I hear AC6 is coming to the PS3 O_O.

Gears came out in Microsoft first year it wasn't a console launch game it was a year after launch.. Sony should have a AAA title to match Gears success and it does not have one this year.

Assassians Creed, Call of Duty 4, Orange Box (might be October?), Unreal Tournament 3, and Uncharted, allNovember,I would buy all of them if I had money. And I could honestly care less if there multiplat (most), cause its the only system I can play them on.

On SW that would probably be a weak list :roll: I dont see how people could possibley play all this in a month, that list is like a year of gaming for me lol. But im really slow so what ever.

I think PS3 is in trouble after this Xmas.. This was there year to shine like Gears did for MS last Xmas and they blew it.

With the tons of other great multiplats like CoD4, PS3's fall lineup is by all means really really good. But you all are right that there isn't one standout system seller like Halo.... but there really has never been for PS anyways. 360's fall lineup is certainly superior to its fanbase because of Halo, but otherwise they're prettymuch dead equal. If not favoring PS3.

But my god is PS3's 08 lineup awesome. First quarter alone has LPB, Socom, MGS4.

Haze, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet, UT3, Assassin's Creed are the main ones I think.

While I don't think it's got a bad holiday lineup, I think it'd be better to wait till bigger games like MGSIV arrive next year to "rush out" and buy a PS3.

To be honest there aren't really any system sellers for the ps3 this fall. However there are 3 for 2008/09, thats GT5, FF13 and MGS4. As for 360 there's really only one this falland thats Halo3, maybe Mass Effect (have to see how well its advertised). The Wii has SMG, maybe SSBB (it sells well, just not sure a system seller). The last big system seller i can think of at the momentis GTA4 but thats 2008 and multi-platform (but i don't think that will matter)._Fabrick_

Gears 2 and Ninja Gaiden 2 next year.. Thats 2 garanteed AAA games.. Sony isn't even sure if it has 1 AAA game next year.. Sad state of affairs for Sony.
