What games you think deserve a Remake?

so my dear friends, nowadays we have plenty of remakes coming out in future. System shock, Final fantasy 7, Black mesa (complete), resident evil 2 etc

which old game you think deserve a remake?

I think it should be Original Deus Ex. Deus Ex 1 even had dated graphics when it was released and remake will take huge advantage in modern graphics while level design and gameplay remain same.

If System shock can get remake. why cant Deus Ex?

A Deus Ex remake would be perfect. Although, the original game is still very much playable in my opinion.

I'd also like to see a Thief remake.

I want remasters or remakes of the whole Panzer Dragoon series, but Saga is the one I want most of all. It's the best rpg I've ever played, and I feel it'd be many other people's favorite as well if it wasn't so rare/expensive to get. Everything about it is top notch, and just imagining it with a graphical update would be a dream come true.

I'd also love to see remakes of these games:

• Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series
• X-Wing/Tie Fighter series
• Shenmue I & II
• Skies of Arcadia
• KOTOR I & II
• Omega Boost
• Mega Man Legends 1 & 2

If they could make less janky versions of Thief 2 n Deus Ex, as in with smoother animations and better game feel, and the systems worked the way they already do in those games, that would be sublime. I still think those games hold up fantastic, because sheer depth of gameplay. But it's not like there weren't a few issues with those games, even back when they launched.

I believe they made a 2.5d Shinobi title for the 3DS and Ninja Gaiden like titles for the PS2, which I have yet to play.

However, of the originals, it feels like G.G. Shinobi 1/2 would have benefited the most from expansion, since they are so intrinsically different from the others and like many games of the day, relatively short. Something like Assassins Creed Chronicles would be welcomed - but with the original in tact without meddling hands adding detrimental modernization - namely safety nets

Beyond that, as listed, System Shock is getting remade. Which is great, as it sold extremely poorly and many of the most ardent System Shock 2 fans haven't played it. It's a difficult game though, overly complicated. I hope they sensibly streamline rather than end up with another Bioshock.

I love shinobi back in days. it was very very hard game. never beat it.

I would love to see a modern shinobi remake or reboot whatever.

otherwise year System shock is looking excellent. love the demo even thought it was short. never played original system shock and watching videos on youtube it looked wierd and nothing like system shock 2.

SS remake is more like SS2 which is plus for me.

I would like a Metal Gear Solid 1/2 remake, but thats probably never happening

Dino Crisis is the only one I want a reboot of now. All my other favorite series basically have sequels, were already rebooted or were remastered.

I do want to see Shenmue 1 & 2 as an HD release on PS4 as well. Just make it HD with widescreen and trophy support and I'll be happy.

I'm already pretty satisfied with System Shock being remade. The original was great game but, it could have used some serious streamlining. I just hope they don't add any extraneous RPG elements in order to make it more like System Shock 2.

A Deus Ex remake could potentially be great however. The original holds up pretty well for the most part, so just smoothen out the gameplay a bit and were all set.

I don't know about another Ocarina of Time remake. They already did it and it was pretty solid. Maybe they could push the graphics more on a home console but I think Ocarina of Time 3D is pretty much perfect.

Flight Simulator XI by Microsoft. There are newer flight sims from other companies with better graphics. But, their weather and cloud generator aren't worth a damn. MS really got it right.

The weather subsystem in FSX was in a class of its own.

I always thought Homeworld needed an HD remaster. Then it happened. Yay.

I think a reboot of the Rogue Squadron series would be pretty kick ass. Though that's not really a remake.

I think a remake of the original Fallout 1 and 2 in a more modern isometric game engine, like the one they used for Pillars of Eternity, would be great. I feel remaking them in the style of the modern Fallout games wouldn't do the game justice. Rather just remake it in a modern engine with a much more intuitive UI, package the games together, and port it to the consoles. Boom.

Old school shooters with enhanced graphics and effects, leaderboard support. I love replaying those at any time. RIght now I'm into this game called "SKyforce Anniversary" and they have weekend tourneys that reset each week with their own set of leaderboards. Shooter fans like me still need this stuff regularly, there is a certain level of satsifaction I get from those games that is simply unlike any other game. I know people use that other acronym for Shoot em ups too(shumps I think), but I didn't grow up on that term to be honest, that's why I rarely mention it.

Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries

Just needs a new graphics engine.

Doesn't have to be a remake, but I'd love for a reboot of Dino Crisis. The third game messed it up too much to really continue the series as it was, but a reboot or remake of the original game would be great.

Have you seen Rogue One yet? The two scenes near the end are literally ripped straight out of a RS game. Absolutely fantastic.

Waverace 64!

Would also love to see a Mario platformer in the vein of Mario 64. Mario Galaxy was sort of close, but it featured sprawling levels that just didn't have the fun platforming like Mario 64 did.

@DragonfireXZ95: I remember WAveRace that was fun. That reminded me, a remake of Blast Corps would be nice as well. I tried to replay the game via Rare Replay, and I just couldn't as I felt the graphics hadn't aged well at all. Gameplay still fun though, just needs a beefy graphical upgrade with LEaderboard support.

I'd probably aim for more gamey games, another katamari, armored core... and some old gems like parasite eve, tenchu, a more true to the original conkers bad fur day... they don't have to be super high fidelety remakes, jut good fun B tier games for a new age. And no aragami doesn't isn't a replacement for tenchu, the powers make it alot different in the stealth mechanics. OH and onimusha.

And this. But I'd actually like... and sorry for admitting it... to see a kinect version of this that blends kinectimals with god game, allow you to use both hand and kick/stomp people. It might not be easy but it would be a fun drunk game.

@aigis: yea, MGS 1 with V's engine and presentation would be amazing.

My choice would be Fallout 1 and 2 with full physics, destructible environments, 3D isometric view with adjustable camera, full weather, amazing visuals. I second Renegade also, Panzer Dragoon Saga would be heavenly.

demon's souls remade in the bloodborne engine with the sixth archstone restored would confirm the existence of god

Streets of Rage, keep it pixel art, and add in a ton of secret and unlockable characters (Golden Axe characters, VF, etc).

Primal Rage, this would be amazing if neatherrealms got behind it.

Bloodrayne with gameplay and production values on par with Bayonetta or God of War.
