Games I regret buying:
And then a couple of games I was given but just didn't like:
There are plenty of people who have said, "I don't buy games I won't like, I research all the games I purchase," but I really don't buy that. Look at the games on my list: some are regarded as fantastic titles that have great review scores across the board and yet... they didn't click with me. Killzone 2's aiming felt off and the story was lackluster. I could never get into DE: HR no matter how hard I tried. LA Noire was dull and had a lot of poor design choices. And MadWorld had poor gameplay.
Fallout 3 was the same as DE: HR, I wanted to like the game because I love Oblivion and Skryrim but the two franchises are very different. I just found myself not having a good itme. Bayonetta... yeah... I just didn't like it.
If those are the worst you have played this gen, then you REALLY dodged a lot of bad games this gen.In order
1. MGS4
2. FF13
3. Uncharted 1

Sounds like you should be letting somebody else puck your games out for you because clearly based on that post, you have no clue in hell what kinds of games you like. Most of the games I had for 360 and Wii, a bunch of IPod App games, premium content for a Facebook game, a whole lot of DLC, some DS games, all of the 3DS games I had pretty much, some PC games I bought that didn't work on my computer or worked very slowly, PC games I just didn't get into, games that I sold and decided to buy again later on, Age of Empires Online premium content, and definately WOW because I went and bought all of those expansions and paid $15 a month so many times but never had anything to show for it and the game was a huge waste of time.
Oh, and some mobile phone games. Still dunno why I had to buy a couple of those.

That's all I can think of at the moment.
What system? I got it for PS3 and it wasn't that good, but bought the GOTY Deluxe Edition off Steam for PC and it was a lot better.Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion what a turd of a game

Research also includes playing the game with someone else who owns it. Lucky me, I have that option. Most of my friends are family guys. If my friends don't have a particular game, their kids most likely do. Access to games on their consoles or PCs isn't a problem.
Diablo 3 - bought it for $60 and played through once, and never touched it since.
MW2ismygame
That's me. Uninstalled...
Here are my biggest regrets
Star Trek Legacy (360)
The Amazing Spider-man (360)
Diablo III (I regret getting the Annual pass from WoW because of this)
WarHammer Online
Guild Wars 1
Warhammer Online
Star Wars: The Old republic
It's becasue of those 2 games I refuse to buy into another subscription MMO.
Also GTA IV.
I suppose if I include the early days......
Sword of Sodan (Amiga) - I could've sworn the whole game took less than 30 minutes to finish.
Shadow of the Beast (Amiga) - Too hard for me mainly because I had to use joysticks for control.
Duck Hunt
Shockwave (3DO)
Conduit 2 - The glitchiest game I have ever played. It doesn't feel finished in most areas.I could've bought another game or two for the same price that actually worked properly.
Rainbow Six Lockdown - Absolutely awful AI.
I don't regret buying it, per se, but I found Bioshock to be overrated to the max and I needed to force myself to finish it. That is one of the only times this has ever happened. At all.
Unreal Tournament 3. I was still playing UT2004 when it came out and simply couldn't believe how horrible it was.
Hellgate: London...it was so incredibly bad. I bought these two games together and was so sorely disappointed. They taught me not to fall for the hype no matter what.
Then there's Garshasp and Naval Warfare. They looked good on paper in the Steam store and I bought them for a grand total of 4 euros, but holy sh!t they both suck.
Call me crazy but i rather enjoyed fable 3... in fact it was my favorite of the series... though it was flawed in a lot of areas... Crackdown 2 went from a purchase to a no way after i played the demo... yuk! Still waiting to try mp3... one of these days when i dig my xbox out of storage... im still in mid move.Fable 3, Crackdown 2, Max Payne 3 (kind of), Killzone 3. I'm actually pretty good at getting stuff I know I would like, but these games really pissed me off in one way or another..

[QUOTE="MW2ismygame"][QUOTE="moistsandwich"]ohhhh god, dont even talk of Too human . . . .. . . . . . Too Human was a wreck on several fronts but I kinda agree that it was entertaining for a playthrough and some co-op... I sunk over 40+ hours into the game, but yeah it has a lot of shortcomings.Too Human's coop was a blast. The game was incredibly flawed but I got my moneys worth. I beat it twice in coop..The saddest thing about the game is most of the problems could have been fixed with an update. At it's core it was a pretty good loot game.Killzone 2 - atrocious game is atrocious
Blue Dragon - only paid $20 for it but what a piece of ****
nothing else really comes to mind. dont get me wrong... I don't like everything.... but these are the worst ones imo. Heck even Too Human was worth a play through.

Crackdown 2 was like a kick to the nuts with a steel toed boot. I LOVED the first game (still one of my favorite coop experiences this gen). But the sequel was just uninspired trash.I almost wanted to cry. Easily my most disappointing game this gen. It's like they gave the game the game to a group of people that didn't understand it.:(Fable 3, Crackdown 2, Max Payne 3 (kind of), Killzone 3. Oh agreed... the looting is what always had me going back and the coop was especially fun because of the loot sharing. The lack of balance in a fight is where it blew up...it felt like constantly knowing u were gonna die and trying to get those last few hits in before yet another death sequence... all in all i agree. Really good ideas executed really weakly.[QUOTE="TheEroica"][QUOTE="MW2ismygame"] ohhhh god, dont even talk of Too human . . . .. . . . . . heretrix
