What Gamespot score was the biggest crime to gaming?

A recent post made me think about MGS3 (ps2) getting an 8.7 here, and how it was probably the best one made and easily deserved a 9.5 or higher. what other scores were too low to be respectable?

Mario Kart 64. Or Mario Kart 6.4 :(

I still have not gotten over R&CF:ToD "too much diversity in gameplay" review.

And based off other scores, I gotta throw Halo Wars in there.

Well, out of the games I have played and am able to give my own score to, probable Super Metroid. The review didn't even mention any significant flaws, yet the score given was 8.5. At least explain the deduction.

I can safetly say that it's not worth a 10, but it's not far from it.

The BIGGEST crime to humanity was when GameSpot decided to give Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction an 8.5 and 8.2, respectively. :x

Not really that big a deal considering Gamespot was one of the only sites that got it right.

The rest of the internet gave it high AAA GOTY scores (Gametrailers gave it GOTY and one of the top 10 games of the decade).

MGS4 with the ten. Just NOO. Gta4, at the time it was freakin EPIC, but when theyre taking off points for glitches that can be patched in games like forza and mass effect GTA4 had a good bit o glitches, the gunplay was kind of ehh. IMO. and a number of other flaws that dont warrant a 10/10 flawless score. Now ME2...

Zelda TP - 8.8

Tony Hawk 3 - 10

Halo ODST - 9.0

Gears of War 2 - 9.0

yeah its funny how Zelda TP got even higher scores then gears of war 1 and people still claim that the gamespot score was right (if you read the review.. gerstman complains about the wiimote speaker.. which is not part of the game but part of the wii hardware.. damn)

That's because it is from a gameplay standpoint. Bad story etc won't downgrade a masterpiece as much as GS did. Metascore 96/100.

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3. It was alright, but I don't think it should have been a 10 (or even a AAA game for that matter).

Grand Theft Auto IV. Its a superb game, I'm not gonna lie about that. Though, there were a few things that kept me thinking that it shouldn't have been a 10.

For me it's still the R&C:ToD review.

Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Kart 64 and basically every monster hunter review were all waaay lower then Id give the games.

MGS4 deserved a 10, pure epic, and the controls are actually the best in the series and is part of what makes to special, if youve played the previous metal gears you know 4 is probably the best

MGS4 ----- 10.0 This has nothing to do with a fanboy or anything. I've played the game and found the controls clunky and the story telling to be self-indulgent and chunky. It was a good game, but a perfect one? No. Also the loading was just horrible. There were times when you'd load a section, watch a cut scene, walk across the screen and watch another cut scene. Just horrid. I'd have given it a ~8.0 due to the active camo being awesome.mythrol

Take the game for what it is, an interactive movie. The Story resembles that of a Tarantino movie. Last time I checked Inglourious basterds was nominated for best picture, the point is that the sty.le works.

The gameplay is the last thing you can even begin to imagine being flawed. You're just bad at it.

Well I don;t know about the biggest crime but, giving multiple Gamecube games 8.9 just enough so it will not be considered a great game really disturbs me.
