What Gamespot score was the biggest crime to gaming?

Am I the only one who agrees with Gamespot about Mario Kart 64? Really, I thought them giving it a 6.0 range of score was pretty fair.

Anyway, I thought their Gauntlet: Legends review was pretty bad.

One of the greatest games of all time...will find in almost any credible greatest games of all time list imaginable.

FFIX, Shadow of the Colossus, and Twilight Princess all should have scored way higher.

Chrono Cross getting a 10 and Mario Kart 64 getting... what was it 6.4?

Crime to gaming? Because you disagree? That's ludicrous. I don't agree with GS at times, but I never throw a tantrum just because they have a different opinion to me. Personally, though, GS has never given a score I thought was just plain ridiculous. They usually explain their case well. For one, I agree with them on the RaC:ToD.

A recent post made me think about MGS3 (ps2) getting an 8.7 here, and how it was probably the best one made and easily deserved a 9.5 or higher. what other scores were too low to be respectable?

Syphon Filter 2 ~ 6.6 (compared to the original's 9.0)

The game was better than the first in every way possible and was scored down for being "unoriginal."

mario kart 64 wasnt very good, deserved exactly the score it got. same with shenmue. it was a very good ambitious game that had some serious problems. too bad we wont get the second it seems.

They gave mlb 10... the best baseball game ever a 8.0

They gave bayonnetta... bayonnetta the same score as god of war... half of the moves in bayonnetta was useless!!

wow i like this post, MLB 10 the show IS the best baseball game ever made, so fun, thats the game im playing the most now, dantes inferno should have gotten atleast a 7.5, and bayonetta is not in the same league as gow3 and it got the same score.

Well that is your opinion. My opinion was that it was a solid 9.0. Really any score on gamespot is justone reviewers opinion about a game.

AOE, R&C, Mario Cart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, MGS3. Resistance:FOM, UC1.

All games imo deserved MUCH higher.

I agree with that score, actually. Complete disappointment compared to Super Mario Kart.

mgs3 not getting AAA was bad and oddly enough mgs4 getting a 10 also amazes me. imo it's borderline AAA, perhaps an 8.0

Shadow of the colossus and Ico get AA(8.7&8.5) instead AAAA. Such unique experiences that the reviews failed to recognise because it wasn't mass appeal or somewhat flawed. Still pure gaming innovation at it's finest and didn't need waggle to do so.

GTA San Andreas getting a 9.6. It didn't deserve a score anywhere near that.

GTAIV (I like Just cause 2 more but thats just my opinion)

Just lil joke :P Waggle was seen as really innovative at the start of this gen as if gaming without it would be boring and not innovate. As long as there are devs like Team Ico controllers will be enough to create innovative titles.

The BIGGEST crime to humanity was when GameSpot decided to give Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction an 8.5 and 8.2, respectively. :x

Too High - MGS IV, GTA IV, THPS3, Demon's Souls, PDZ

Too Low - R&C TOD, MK 64, Fable II, Crackdown

GTAIV without a doubt. I wouldn't have given it higher than a 7. San Andreas was better, imo.

Tales of the Abyss getting a 7.9. It's a good score, but it deserves no less than an 8.5. Tales of Legendia scoring a point higher makes no sense.

Silent Hill 1 and 2. they deserve a 9 or above, they own Resident Evil
