Most Sinlge Player oriented genres i usually only give 1 playthrough...and the 2nd one maybe later

and since my favorite genre would be shooters(mostly First Person)

I can't argue against FPS games.

The competition level is one thing

and the other reason is look at games like

CounterStrike
Battlefield 2
Unreal 2k4
Team Fortress 2
Halo 1PC, Halo 2, Halo 3
Call of Duty 4

and so much more and look at the hours logged into those games.....and for those of you complaining FPS games are only good for MP

GO play

Halo Combat Evolved
Half Life
Half Life 2
System Shock 1
System Shock 2
Bioshock
Call of Duty
Doom
Duke Nukem
Marathon
Farcry
Crysis

once again the list could go on and on.

It's a tossup between FPS's, fighters, and RTS's for me. But I picked fighters in the end. Some FPS's have great replay value, but I would say the ones that get MP right to the point where you could be hooked for upwards of a year is very few and far between. RTS's are great for replay but there are too many quality RTS's and updates for old ones to keep one game lasting me more than 4 or 5 months. WC3 and RA2, which are the RTS's that I've devoted the most time into, only got that much value for me. Of course there are those people who are playing starcraft to this day.

I picked fighters because even if I take breaks from playing them, I almost always go back until the next installment hits which is usually something like 2 or 3 years off from the previous. There are only a couple of half decent franchises out there, which insures that if you buy one of them, not that many titles could come in and just replace them. With RTS's generally playing with 3 or 4 factions, fighters have huge, huge casts relatively, and with that, plenty of additional permutations of strategies for specific matchups. That's a lot of crap to explore.

MMO's in my opinion take the easy way out for replay as far as PvE goes because you do the same thing over and over, so I won't include that. I've never had a blast replaying an RPG other than for nostalgic purposes.

As a genre, strategy games which includes btoh RTS and TBS games have the most replayablity.

As a special mention the most replayable game i have played is diablo becuase of its huge varied character classes with great level progression and awesome loot system , which the other diablo clones have failed to emulate till now

I am going with sports on this one, more specifically football games tend to last a long time for me. There are so many option in my opinion that the possibility are endless, the franchise mode can last a really long time if you are really into it. Till this day I still play NFL 2K5 simply because it still great, all I have to do is update the roster than I am good to go.

It depends how you look at it. When I think of replay value, I think of the value of playing a game after you have beaten it. People say how much time they invested in a game online (multiplayer) and that to me isn't really replay value; that's just the value of multiplayer.

I'd have to go with other.

I've spent more time playing Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, and even Burnout (god must of hit over a few hundred hours) than any other game. I also expect to get a huge ammount of value from LBP but I haven't had too much time actually playing it. I have played CoD 4 alot but I'm not at some high prestige.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE GAME

empire earth (rts), SF3 third strike/ssb (fighter), BF games, great rpg games

all have unlimited replay
