Looks great; it reminds me of CryEngine2. But, Gears of War will look worse due to the brown and grey color palette.
So Epic wants to make Uncharted?
BioShockOwnz
Aside from the graphics I am pretty sure Uncharted borrowed alot ofthings from GeOW.
I'm kind of sick of the current Unreal engine. Even if developers take a different art-direction you can usually tell when a game uses the engine and visually its lost its appeal to me.
That engine looks great though. Hopefully it can be implemented for Gears 3. If not, the game will still look excellent and still be excellent.

Mirrior's edge?
GeoW3 will most likely be gritty and never stray away from black and brown palettes... so don't get your hopes up. UnhappyHobosetting/color scheme =/= graphics But I have to ask, was this shown with 360 or PC hardware?

Probably tech demo, and not at microsoft event pretty much=PC, I doubt those are X360 shots when they can use the PC.

Mirrior's edge?
I did say "...you can usually tell..." because I could not recall all games that use the engine nor could I give an example of a game that broke the mold of the Unreal Engine 3 look, like Mirror's Edge.
It comes to developers and how they use it, but from what I understand about engines there are assets for the developers to use, such as textures, and many devs end up using them. Its fun but you can tell when multiple games have the same look due to the engine.
Have you played KZ2 yet?I like how TC approaches every 360 exclusive very optimistically.......graphically. I am on the last level og gears 2 and I have never seen soo much brown and grey in my life.
Zaibach
I just hope Epic brings back that dark, gritty, gloomy atmosphere from the first. Gears 2 had too much "bright" days to show off colour.

Anything with vegetation should now be considering Uncharted? :/So Epic wants to make Uncharted?
BioShockOwnz
This definetly is computer farmed, UE3 is notorious for no AA and all I see is supersampled baby bottom edges.
It means your statement is BS.what is bs about my statement? both games are grey. one is more brownish grey than the other[QUOTE="SaltyMeatballs"][QUOTE="Zaibach"]yeah i have how is it relevant?

He must mean those few levels were you're underground. Those look blue.
killzone 2 takes black and grey to the next level. its like being in a dark room filled with red eyes.I like how TC approaches every 360 exclusive very optimistically.......graphically. I am on the last level og gears 2 and I have never seen soo much brown and grey in my life.

It lookes like Uncharted at first. I doubt GeOW 3 will use the same art direction and colours. And they need to run this engine on a PC to compete with UC2, so don't get your hopes up with the X360 doing those kind of graphics with the UE engine.

It kills both uncharteds, but yeah PC, I wanna see what they do on Xbox though.

That looks beautifull!!! Is that UE4 or an update to UE3.5??
MC3887
Update to UE3.5
Which is what makes the screens all the more dubious, to be honest. That's a heck of an upgrade; it looks like a totally new engine, especially the AA.Dont worry about the graphics technology. Just hope and pray Gears of War 3 even comes out this gen..
And people complaining about browns and greys, greens, yada yada. Seriously.. guys. It was done on purpose and I'm sure these game designers who KNOW how to make games in real life, know what they're doing. Gears looks great the way it is, as does Uncharted 2 with its greens and shiny treasures. Each game has it's color scheme, and every sequel should be highly considered to stick with ingenuity. If you want color, go play Viva Pinata. Seriously...

So...i can only imaging how UE4 will look :o
They said UE4 was next gen. So in reality I am assuming. Unless they are doing it early because this gen is extended.
