R&C-7.5 more like 8-8.5 for me
Assassin's Creed=4
Haze(im going to say it...)=7
All. Games shouldn't be based on a 10 point scale. They should be rated on A, B, C, D, F. Rating on a 10 point scale are pointless. I'd love for someone to explain the difference between a game that earns a 4 and a game that earns a 4.5.comstrikeiscoolthe game with the higher score is better DUH!
Super Mario Galaxy 9.5 where it should be 10
Pokemon Diamond 8.5 where it should have been 8.0
Metroid Prime 3 8.5 where it should be 8.5
SSBB 9.5 where it should have been 9.0 (Didn't like Subspace, not very fun in single player.)

So obvious.:P
I don't know how a 10 point system is pointless and a 5 point one isn't. Please share your wisdom.:roll:

The one that earns a D is better. Huge different in the rating system. Mashed: Drive 2 Survive 2.5. No wonder it got deleted.
GTA4 - GS 10. Me 8. It's a great game, but just not that fun.
Halo 3 - GS9.5 Me 8. To short, a multiplayer game, and I belive the core experience of a game should always be it's single player.
Half Life 2 - GS 9.2 Me 9.8. This game was incredible for it's time, yet it scored the same less than Halo 2 from the same critic (Great though he was.), which was not.
R&C:ToD - GS 7.5. Me 8.5/9. This is a great game, not a good game, a great game. 7.5 is beyond harsh, it's silly.
LO: GS 7.5 Me 8.5. Not the harshest score, but still felt pretty low for a game produced to this level of quality. But some critics were so harsh with this game it was unreal. A perfectly (When I say perfectly I mean there's nothing exactly game breaking.) good JRPG slammed because it was a JRPG, complete embarassment. GS and IGN still called it good. Others were not so kind.
MGS4 - GS 10. Me 9.3. A 10 given too lightly. This game was far from perfect, it was awesome, but it was full of so many little flaws that really added up. I wouldn't complain about the cutscenes so much, but some of the drama was delievered in such an akward way. It was also full of badly closed plot points. The actual gameplay was fine, but it was at it's best in the first two chapters. I wasn't so easily impressed by Act 4. The actual "stealth" of that chapter was poor, and the first boss battle is weak and overated.
AC - GS 9. Me 8. I mean everything is done well, but the actual pacing which criples the game. Too many similar tasks presented in such a bland way. It was at it's best near the start and at the end, where effort was made to keep the player intrested. I actually liked the plot and it's presentation though. Sure it wasn't perfect, but it was unique, and if you took the time to explore the scienece labs it was actually quite intresting. Though Ubisoft development studios need ti learn to lay off the cliff hanger. It actually puts me off buying their games because I almost always know they will end in a cliff hanger. The opposite effect it should have.
R6LV2 - GS 8.5. Me 7. I Have never played a sequel that does so little to improve on it's predessecor. It uses the same gameplay mechanics in even more boring enviroments, meaning it isn't even as good as the first. Pretty poor if you ask me. It deserved more than a loss of .5 for doing so little.
Bioshock GS 9. Me 8. I'm going to annoy alot of people saying this, but I found the gameplay to be very repetitive alot of time. Now some may say "But what about the atmosphere and plot?!" well that's the thing. I would have loved the game had it not been for the last hour or so of the game, which somehow managed to completely destoy the plot and atmosphere for me. Mabye it was just me but I thought that character at the end (Who I will not name.) had horrible voice acting, and the final battle, that was just stupid beyond reason. Completely destroyed the experience for me. Then it throws an awful ending at you, regardless of your in game choices.

A = Buy
B = Above Average
C = Average
D = Below Average
F = Stay Away
There's my wisdom for ya.
The Boom Blox score was absolutely terrible. And Tales 2 was a lot more enjoyable than the reviewer would like you to believe.AlexSays
Agreed. It was like the reviewer was ripping on Tales 2 for being too much like a Tales game. Weird.
Honestly, I only believe a GameSpot score if the User score comes close to it. My rule for GS Wii scores: add 2 to it. it's probably closer to the truth.
Agian. This is people disagreeing with the score and not the actual text. insanejedi
The score is a summary of someones feeling towards something. Disagreeing with a review requires a very good memory, so instead you focus on the score, which expreses the critics opinion of the title. Why would I need to disagree with an an entire reveiw? Though if you intend to use a review in a more useful context you would be better reading it. Not here though, that's just being picky for the sake of beng picky.

Because there is a difference between the score and the actual text of the review. For some games like Skate or Mass Effect, you can agree with all the points the reviewer makes only to disagree on the score it was given. For that matter, I agree that Mass Effect has many small problems, and it has a fantastic story and fast paced combat. The only thing I disagree with is the score, where as I think the pro's of the game outweigh it's cons. For that, there is the actual points a review makes, and there is the score to go with it. The score is only there to give an idea of how the reviewer feels about the game and how they feel each point of the review weighs against each other. For example, a great story may shift you towards a score of 9.0 of a game, for another reviewer it may make them shift more towards a 8.5 as they do not find story as great of a point of the game, or it does not justify other aspects of the game.[QUOTE="insanejedi"]Agian. That's just one review.

I disagree with many reviews, some I have read, some I have just looked at the score for. For me to go back and state what I disagreed with in say the GTA4 review (The first line in the review for a start. How he ever came to that conclusion within the first 5 minutes of the game I will never know. He might aswell as said "Well I'm not going to give a bad review, so instead I'm going to shock you with a perfect one.") and a couple of others I would need several posts and alot of time, and to be honest, I just don't care enough. You are asking to much from such a simple question.
