What's wrong?

RE5 is RE4 with co-op (which tends to always increase fun), and a stomp button.

Therefore it's greater than RE4.

Leon > Chris

Also, less boulder punching in RE4

Therefore, RE4 > RE5 :P

But you get to see Jill Valentine cleavage even if there's a big, nasty wound on her chest.

Therefore

RE5 > RE4

Been playing REmake *Resident evil 1 incase you didn't know*on my Wii haven't played it since 2002 and this game just feels like a totally differ net franchise with the characters having the same names. Here is hoping Leon's campaign in RE6 is like classic RE.

Blame Crapcom and their "westernezation" of their games... They insist to bring action into their game ... They insist and desperatly trying years now to bring action titles with western audience in mind... How many "Craps" we played this gen? ( not that RE5 was crap but hey ...even RE4 was better ). Bionic commando , Dark void , Lost planet , RE5 etc etc ... I mean come on... And upon all that thousands of people screaming for a change so RE go back to its root and instead try AT LEAST make a RE2 remake or something ... they had the FANTASTIC ( sure ) idea to bring RE2 game into a FPS/action multiplayer prospective!!! Another crap from crapcom.... Then they wondering what is wrong and why they losing some $$ this gen. Guess what... we dont need more action/FPS etc titles... CRAPCOM for life

When after 5 years you copy paste a 5 years old game ( more or less ) thats NOT greater. Thats one of the same. period

I totally understand changing the controls because it makes sense. Not being able to shoot and run didn't make the old games scary, it made them frustrating. It's all about setting in my books. Resident Evil 4 was ok in that department, while Resident Evil 5 didn't even try. Make ammo more scarce, enemies more frightening and have it all in the right environment.

Some people wanted change, they wanted more action. Also new possible audiences where showing a tendency to prefer action so that is what happened. Also the idea that binds survival horror with clunky controls and fixed camera angles was widespread and didn't helped a lot in the eyes of many people both fans and possible future fans.

The main thing about RE4 and RE5 is that enemies dropped ammo even when they were unarmed. There's no point in conserving ammo when the game gets you plenty.

I agree the new controlls and camera are way better, RE Rev tried to be classic RE with the new style it did okay but I don't think it's been perfected yet.

Is the AI partner really bad in RE5?

lulmont

Well co-op is fun but playing single yeah pretty worthless and you have to resucue them a lot.

this, RE 5 is a must play in coop

This. In 4 and 5 I had to do the unthinkable, I had to actually throw ammo away because I had so much of it of various kinds. Survival Horror my ass.

It got better (RE4) and then it got worse (RE5).

Master_ShakeXXX

This mofo right here knows what he's talking about, although in RE5's defense...it was fun co op with a bud, but the greatness of Shinji Mikami at Capcom was a great loss to Capcom and RE fans.

Lucky Capcom still has my boy Hideki Kamiya!!!! Oh wait, Capcom done F**** up that too. Lucky for us we got Platinum... ;) :P
