I had PS1, PS2 and now own PS3. I used to be a Nintendo fanboy. I never bought or paid too much attention to Sony products as much until PS2. But now I am really getting to be loyal with this brand because:

--Media bashing PS3 on regular basis

--So many anti PS3 comments and extraneous comparisons with other consoles

--Other console users always writing against PS3 in the forums

--Biased review against PS3

--People pushing and trying very hard to prove PS3 DOOM with twaddle points and remarks

No need to drop the price so long as MS keeps charging for online. Its looking better and better all the time for sony. MS won't drop their console price to be cheaper than the wii and even if they did lower it past the wii they wouldn't out sell the wii unless they stopped charging for online.

PS3 is cheaper in the long run you pay $400 for it ...it last 8 years. You pay $300 or $250 or whatever the hell you pay for 360 then $50 for online play every year so you play it for a good 6 years and the total amounts to $600 or $550....it cost you more in the long run.

I gave you a basic estimate which should be good enough. Anyway it cost more for a 360 and thats just playing for 6 years online after you bought it where as with the ps3 would give you 8 years. Now if you play 360 for 8 years add another $100 on there. And wow you save $18.

The PS3 is more expensive than the 360 when you get it from the store and that's what counts to most people. You can opt out of everything else.
