What do you think has the best game library this generation? PC or consoles? I am not asking about scores but about your personal opinion.

All consoles combined vs PC? I would honestly say the consoles would win there. Especially in such a comparison any console game not on PC would be "console exclusive" and a plus to the console. But this is hardly a fair comparison at all.

Well the price is very similair.
Another 1 vs All thread. Let the battle Commence.
For the widest variety in gaming, input devices, free games, and great exclusives I would have to say PC.

No it isn't. Not only do console games cost more money but buying all the consoles together would cost about 750-800 dollars. A PC can be built for significantly less to play games on high settings.

Expensive/cheap/cost is opinionated to the user. We just had a thread demonstrating members here price range of their consoles Here.. In essence, 400-700 dollars seems to be the norm for a console gamer on hardware outside of other aspects per console. Nothing wrong with that at all as it depends when a console game bought their console and other factors. Same goes for a PC gamer. Pc has the ability to be cheap or expensive depending on what the user wants. I demonstrated this in May edition of System Wars Monthly (page 9) with my computer only costing me 560 dollars since 2007. You also have people who have attempted to demonstrate the price of getting a Pc gaming rig on a budget ( $270 US $370 with OS)Here.
I used to believe that polls were really good on SW, but more and more, I can see where some people are coming from when they say they arent. This has to be a joke, right? PC isnt messing with the PS3 when it comes to the best library, but to all consoles??? lol
I dont think it can even compete with this year alone.
gaming25
lol wut? I suggest you take a look at the spreadsheet again. PC absolutely destroys the PS3 in every single category outside of AAAA (higher standards) and not only that it has more high scoring exclusives than all consoles combined.
Consoles. The PC misses out on so many console exclusives, its disgusting.
Thats not to say the PC doesnt have its great share of exclusives.

Yes but I took the cheap prices that are available in stores right now.

its not that significant, and all the consoles together would be closer to 600-700, depending if you go with the elite or arcadetheres no doubt that pc has more exclusives, but theres a lot of fluff in there from expansions especially mmo's, and plenty of mmo's, and tons of rts/strategy games, if you don't like mmo's/rts/managment games then PC's really don't have the edge at all,Speedsheet linked

The slim seems to be the system that is most likely to sell right now. If you go with the slim it will be 800 for all the consoles. If you go with the elite it will be 750.

Like PC only has MMO and RTS games...Right...Oh and your argument is ridiculous and opinionated so its irrelevant especially since PC expansions often offer more content than full games. Infact, MODS can be better than full games (case in point, LOTR Total War mod). The fact is that PC does have more exclusives than all consoles combined.

I was referring to the link. You mean the spreadsheet? We consider A games to be generally worth playing. Games like Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction and Lost Odyssey are excellent titles. PC A games are often even better because of higher standards.
nintendo wii has the best library of games ,, and your wrong , about pc having more exclusives mosto f the pc games are on consoles as well only crysis is not
among the old games of the 90s and 80s of course
but since then ,
hmm
wii has the most exclusives rotflol @ all the pc choosers,
and aLL 3 CONSOLES PUT TOGETHER PWN PC
why becasue we dont get viruses
and we dont ha ve to install our games and take up our space

this is pc vs console not pc vs 360/wii/ps3 we are comparing category's how is it fair to compare the millions of pc hardware combinations vs only 3 systems ? pc always have the most games. i dohowever love my console exclusives more . but pc will always have more games on it .

I get a feeling this thread is about PC vs. consoles(as in everything) and not PC vs. console(as in any single one).
whats with this higher standards crap ??? PC does have higher standards like for graphics, online when it comes to having dedicated servers, and things of that kind. Example MW2 on the PC got an 8.5 for not having dedicated servers, something PC gamers are used to having in a FPS. But the overall game did meet the high standard of the PC. Now to say that some AA games on the PC are better than some AAA games on the consoles is completely ridiculous. AA game will be a AA game no mater how you look at it, it all depends on the standard set by the console/PC.
The true answer is the Dreamcast :PIt all comes down to preference. No matter what hermits, cows, sheep, and lemmings tell you, it simply comes down to preference. There is no "true" answer.

All 3 consoles vs. the PC? The consoles duh... but that's an unfair comparison, go one PC vs. any one console and if you like the console's library better, like I do, then it's all opinion. The fact that we have to pit all 3 consoles against the PC to even compete isn't doing much to help the console side, it's helping the PC look better actually, especially when it beats all 3 combined in a poll.

What was he talking about though ?... seems to me like his talking about a multiplat game. Like he said if the game release for the PC was the console version it would have to get a lower socre, because of the higher standard. But that does not automatically mean AA PC games are better than a AAA game on the consoles. Anyways I've seen that qoute a lot lately and people just miss use it imo.
