What has the worst launch of this generation been so far?

This Console generation, yes. There's no PC generation.

For me MCC and Arkham Knight on PC simply because both of these affected me.

I agree with them too. Batman was so broken it wasn't playable in any form. I'm enjoying the shit out of street fighter. We played for a good solid 6-7 hours today.

As much as I like Arkham Knight on the Xbox 1. Having a game flat out not be able to be played is a down right AROSITY!?!?!?! I'm sorry but when I game crashes on booting up you got problems.

And i'm sure a lot of PS fanboys are voting on MCC in here also. The balance is real lol.

Being a bad game can be pretty bad, but that's just classic bad game design.

The Master Chief Collection is a fucking remaster to some of the better multiplayer shooters of the past, that played well, are wildly remembered for how good the online stuff was, and they fucking launched that shit broken to the point that today, it's still not smooth. It works, but it's like that stench of it being broken never left.

Likewise Arkham Knight was so bad on PC, that WB refunded that shit no problem not once, but twice in one year when both releases for that game were fucking broken. Straight up broken. And while AK has its issues, it's a Batman game, those games play well on a basic level, and to release the way they did hurts way the **** more. A bad game sucks, a good game being compromised because they couldn't do the most basic shit: not release a broken game, frankly stings more.

Fair enough. Naturally expectation will play a big part in this and essentially amplify those outstanding issues. I'm looking at it moreso at the fundamental level. While I sincerely doubt anyone believed Tony Hawk 5 was going to revitalize the series, it's still pretty bad how the most essential aspect to making any game worth playing in the first place was completely busted at the time of release, and as far as I'm aware is still broken.

These kind of games release all the time in all fairness. The difference being Tony Hawk has that brand recognition and sense of nostalgia that could easily dupe someone.

so MCC is the worst launch for consoles this entire gen? Seems fitting since 343 decided MP wasn't important enough(lol) to actually care about what they were making.

Has to be Arkham Knight. I can forgive a PC port having a few performances issues that need patching early but to release a game that has missing features from the console version is just ridiculous.

I'd give a special mention to PES 2016 too (the game I play the most), where the PC version was ported from the old-gen consoles. Really annoying but I don't care so much because it's all about gameplay with that.

It's a very close tie between MCC and Batman PC. MCC because it was a collection of how important Halo is to the Xbox brand and AK because they had to pull the game from the steam store because it was so bad. I'm leaning towards MCC though, since you could buy AK on other platforms if you had the option. Not so with MCC.
