Rare lost it all the moment they got on board the 360. Conker was awesome, don't get me wrong, but Perfect Dark is a frackin' joke. Viva Pinata is a yawn, and Kameo was so below the Rare development studio's name and legendary reputation that it almost heralds a dark age of gaming if that is what I am to expect from one of the greatest studios in history. Gears of War was seriously lame. Too Human took the lame factor of Gears of War and wore it like a hagged-out stripper stressed out on crack cocain wears a pink feather boa. Halo 3's gameplay footage on Gametrailers was SHOCKINGLY awful!! I remember watching the game developers rolling around on mats, explaining that they were coming up with, like, totally awesome animations. What game developer studio MAKES THEIR OWN ANIMATIONS? Oh, right, Bungie. Hey, cool. A bunch of fat nerds rolling around on mats. Did you buy Shadow of the Colossus? Seriously, very cool game. Along with Katamari, one of my favorites on the system. However, Seeds' next outing will definitely hold a candle to Team ICO. Fable was lame. Fable 2 will have to destroy Oblivion to even make a blip on my radar. Bioshock is just silly...here's why: Ayn Rand. How do you even argue that? Alan Wake is like...not exciting. Which is why I know nothing about it, besides seeing a couple of screenshots. I'd like to keep it that way. Naughty Dog made the Jak franchise...every iteration of which was much-lauded. The Getaway totally sucks. GTA4 will beat it. That's hard to argue. But considering the entire genre could die and go to hell and not affect me at all means I'm scarcely affected either way. Blue Dragon has me intrigued, but you've got Kingdom Hearts and FFXIII and FFXIII versus in opposition. Tekken, inferior? Tekken has always been interesting. This new Tekken looks lame. I can't deny that. But assuming Tekken lives up to its previous iterations and Virtua Fighter makes another outing...you have a fighter genre combo that makes an Xbox 360 owner slap himself for buying the joke-worthy (or perv-worthy, whichever) Dead or Alive. If Lair sucks, then Lair sucks. Lair gives me no indication that it's going to suck, and anything you say to the contrary is purely speculation. The developers don't spout BS. The developers haven't spouted anything. In fact, he's excited about the Wii... Sony is nursing a powerful IP development team. They'll definitely be able to duke it out with the big boys on the 360 (at least in my personal opinion). However, the biggest selling point for me will always be the opportunity not to buy a Microsoft product. (Seriously, I just absolutely do not like Microsoft. I'm thinking about going Linux. I need a game console to get me through the trauma I'm going to be feeling as far as gaming is concerned on the PC.Redfingers

Bungie will absolutely amaze with Halo 3. Rest assured that they weren't the only ones doing their animations. From graphics to rock solid gameplay, Bungie will deliver! I'm going to dish out so much ownage when this game ships, it will be disgusting. 9.7 or 9.8 easy. From campaign to multiplayer, it will destroy the comp.
I love how people think that Rare has somehow gone down hill. How? Perfect Dark Zero was awesome and didn't have some super auto aim to help total noobs. They crafted what will ultimately be a truly amazing experience with Perfect Dark 2. The weapons were cool, packed power, and furousity! The melee was powerfull and felt like a melee should. These guys bring out 3 great games in 1 year, and they have meraculously lost a step. Oh please PDZ, Viva, and Kameo are solid games.

The hype machine starts now! Even for titles that we know are coming. It's only a matter of time. The 360 crushes the PS3 in every single way! Ownage everywhere. Absolutely everywhere! PS3 gets no custom sountracks, achievements, or rumble to go along with its shallow game lineup. The Devs are all up on the 360 like white on rice baby!

Viva, PDZ, and Kameo may have been solid games, but they made a solid effort towards blocking me from realizing that fact. I was not only unimpressed, I was ALMOST disgusted. I expect good things in the future, however, because I'm not an absolute nutcase. I hope they make a new Conker...but at the same time jealousy apprehends me. Who said Soul Caliber would be 360 exclusive? The only argument here is whether Tekken>DoA...and, frankly, that's a non-argument. Moot point in favor of the historically more provable Tekken series. LOL, please stop. I think by now just about everyone is expecting Bungie to underdeliver with Halo 3's graphics, so just swallow the pill now and get over it. Rare is a shadow of their former selves. Everyone that made them good left to start new developers. It takes them 6 years to put out a AA scoring game, so that's pretty sad. And please, for the love of all that's good and holy, do not hype a Killer Instinct game. Killer Instinct was nothing but a crappy Mortal Kombat clone with really good graphics, and I can only imagine the horrors that await if modern day Rare tries to revive it. Remember Tao Feng and Kataku Kojen (or whatever the crap it was)? They were both terrible first party fighting games from MS, and Killer Instinct will inevitably join them if they make it. Soul Calibur is the king of fighting games, and Namco has more or less relocated the series to Playstation. It's too bad your getting out of the Halo series, just as it peaks! You'll be missing out in what will be one hell of a ride. Co-op online(possibly up to 4), old mixed with new, and the tightest controls for any FPS. So sad.:(

Bungie will absolutely amaze with Halo 3. Rest assured that they weren't the only ones doing their animations. From graphics to rock solid gameplay, Bungie will deliver! I'm going to dish out so much ownage when this game ships, it will be disgusting. 9.7 or 9.8 easy. From campaign to multiplayer, it will destroy the comp.
I love how people think that Rare has somehow gone down hill. How? Perfect Dark Zero was awesome and didn't have some super auto aim to help total noobs. They crafted what will ultimately be a truly amazing experience with Perfect Dark 2. The weapons were cool, packed power, and furousity! The melee was powerfull and felt like a melee should. These guys bring out 3 great games in 1 year, and they have meraculously lost a step. Oh please PDZ, Viva, and Kameo are solid games.
They did Killer Instinct, Conker, Jet Force Gemini, Goldeneye 007, Perfect Dark, Banjoo 1&2. These guys have always been in rare from.
As far as the fighters go. We'll definately see another great Soul Calibur and Killer Instinct show up along with DOA5. With Virtua Fighter 5 on the 360, it becomes the fighters heaven. Who still plays that Tekken trash anyway. Only total noobs play Tekken. I never ever touched that game. In fact, I don't know a single person who ever bought a copy of any Tekken game. Yep, definately for noobs.

LOL, please stop. I think by now just about everyone is expecting Bungie to underdeliver with Halo 3's graphics, so just swallow the pill now and get over it. Rare is a shadow of their former selves. Everyone that made them good left to start new developers. It takes them 6 years to put out a AA scoring game, so that's pretty sad. And please, for the love of all that's good and holy, do not hype a Killer Instinct game. Killer Instinct was nothing but a crappy Mortal Kombat clone with really good graphics, and I can only imagine the horrors that await if modern day Rare tries to revive it. Remember Tao Feng and Kataku Kojen (or whatever the crap it was)? They were both terrible first party fighting games from MS, and Killer Instinct will inevitably join them if they make it. I just can't believe you'd call Tekken trash and then proceed to hype a Killer Instinct game. Soul Calibur is the king of fighting games, and Namco has more or less relocated the series to Playstation. With a better version of VF, Soul Calibur 4, Tekken 6, and a superior D-pad on the controller, I'd most certainly say that PS3 will be the place to be if you're a real fighting game fan. And Dead or Alive is complete garbage, so you lemmings can keep it for all we cows care. People like to whine about Mortal Kombat not having enough depth, but if I had to choose between MK and DOA, I'd pick MK. At least it's got a legitimate reason to be M-Rated other than poorly-arousing fanservice. On a scale of depth from 1-10, if Virtua Fighter was a 10, then DOA would be a 1.Microsoft has all the cards this gen. Just give it up. You should be the first person I come to when Bungie starts to really show off the game.

I'd actually say it's safe to say that after 20 million 360 consoles have found a home, that Soul Calibur 4 will be the perfect place to do it's fighting. Money talks, and Peter Moore knows how succesfull Soul Calibur was for the Dreamcast. They know what's up. The 360 just plain dominates. Microsoft bought the gaming industry, and at the same time they made it developer friendly.:)
The Zepher, Halo 3, and all the multimedia online stuff is all there. It's all there! Sony has no chance. Well, maybe a 20% chance, but that's it. The Wii60 will penetrate homes like no other. I hope Sony enjoys this very slow and painfull takover.:)
don't even know why I ever bought games like MGS3, and Virtua Fighter 4, because they never offered anything new! They just sit and collect dust. Halo 2 did in fact evolve over Halo. Some good. Some bad. Halo will try it's best to evolve yet again, and will raise the bar even futher. Plus the 360 just has the new stuff like no other. Alan Wake, Bioshock, and Viva Pinata are new experiences. Because of what you said there anything you say in this thread is irrelavant. Adding online multiplayer and changing NOTHING in terms of gameplay is NOT evolution. Many people said it was a rehash in terms of single player when it was released.
RTS games will never be popular on consoles, on consoles the only FPS games that tend to do well are the run and gun games. The tactical ones stay on PCs, and since RTS stands for real time STRATEGY, halo wars will only sell well initially (like the Wii is doing).
Listing Crackdown, which is a bonus game that comes with the Halo 3 Beta:P, that didn't get great reviews at all (7.8 on GS, come one) proves how much of a fanboy you are. Fable 2? Wasn't Fable 1 hyped as the best RPG ever? Didn't it fail in that regard?
Kane & Lynch will be on the PS3, as will Splinter Cell 5 and DOA hasn't changed at all since DOA 2 other than graphically. I'm not saying the PS3 is perfect, it has its problems, as do all of the consoles, but don't hype the 360 like it is a machine made by god when it clearly isn't. And besides, I've seen the games out for that system, and with all the games released for it there is jack all variety. It's all shooters for Hardcore gamers.
