What if modern warfare 2 was bad?

Well MW2 has high standards to live up to, inlcuding KZ2 graphics and more realistic gamplay, if it doesn't have at least ones of those things then it will not live up to the hype.

I doubt it. I have trust in IW.

But it's safe to say that MW2 will be my last COD game this gen.

If it's bad it's bad. It will just join the league of many thousands of other bad games. Gamers will game on nonetheless.

Anyway I stopped anticipating COD games since the letdown that was COD2. COD MW was great, indeed, but not as good as its predacessor COD1. But I didn't have high expections, so I was pleased with it.

Not hyping Modern Warfare 2 too much. Im not a big fan of its fast paced multiplayer! Battlefield Bad Company 2 will rule the genre on consoles imo :D

I'd go back to playing Call of Duty 2. That's one awesome game and my favorite in the CoD series.

Well, since it's going to be identical to Modern Warfare 1, which was practically identical to Call of Duty 2, so yes, it's going to be bad.

Infinity Ward definitely won't screw it up. But if they do, I would just buy KZ2.

Well for starters, nobody here would care. Multiplats don't mean anything in system wars. Second, all of Infinity Ward's games have been good, and it's not like they're even changing much anyway.

The worst it can do is to do a complete rehash of MW1 with updated graphics/weaponary and score AA.

From my perspective, Infinity Ward has to do something really special to make Modern Warfare 2 standout from all the other COD games. COD1 was a success because it surprised many people with its epic presentation and many allies you can fight with on the battlefield. In COD2 it was the first COD game to take the step into next gen. COD4 surprised people by switching to modern era and introduced tons of new features to the multiplayer department such as perks. IW in all of their titles introduced something new or made a spectacular leap step from their previous games and now I'm wondering what more can they do to Modern Warfare 2 to make it as amazing COD4 instead of making it into another COD4 clone? Although I'm still going to get it and I'm really hype for this game, my prediction is that it won't be as successful as COD4.

P.S: My prediction might change though because there is suppose to be a new gameplay trailer coming out today.

As long as they multiplayer lasts me a good year like cod4 did, then I'll be happy (If the PC version had that prestige mode I probabaly still would be playing it).
