the same thing that would have happened had halo 3 flopped.... i doubt it will flop though. all the other super smash games were solid so this one should be no exception. with the addition of better graphics, there are more characters and of course solid snake makes the game AA automatically lol

Blocking, Special Moves, Punches + kicks, decent selection of characters, decent combos. Seems like a fighting game to me =/

I don't like it very much, but I know it's hardcore players can easly lay waste any noob who just starts randomly pressing buttons.

And if you wanted to talk about the buttonmashyness then why all the replies to your claim that it wasn't a fight, and no replies to poeple telling you it's not a masher. I'll post my argument again in case you missed it:

Honestly, there is no possible way to button mash in brawl. Traditional fighting games you can do that for becuase you're in a locked veiw with your opponent. Always at fairly close range with the difference between a punch and a kick being a cuople of frames and some damage differences.

You button mash in smash bros and it'd be like watching a retarded kid waving his arms everywhere as you just walk around and push him.

That is why the wii will rely on 3rd party devs. it's up to them to make it like a ps2 situation or a gc situation last gen.
